Not looking to start a "it isn't AI" argument but...totally pathetic to see Knott's selling AI generated designs on merch. Especially given they host an actual Art Show by locals. Wonder where else they've cut corners and used a computer instead of hiring people.

How do you know it's AI?

The one that mystifies me is the jersey that has a witch silhouette that totally looks like the old "Bewitched" TV show logo

I'm just at this point incredibly familiar with all the signs + multiple AI image detectors giving it red flags.

On that note, here's Maze Designer Jon Asperin proudly showing AI Generated Concept Art to a paying crowd.

Not trying to start a fire but I think people should be aware of how comfortable they are using a machine instead of hiring designers, artists, etc. Personally I won't be attending anymore.

That is incredibly depressing. It seemed like a lot of the Fright Fest Merch and concept art was (more obviously) using AI assets in their panel reveal at midsummer scream too.
It's doubly depressing when theyre clearly willing to hire human artists for the aspects that are more guest-facing like maze key art, but do stuff like this behind closed doors. It makes it feel much more insidious as if they're aware they're doing something bad, but so long as the people at the park don't see that theyre shafting artists in a field that should be embracing them more than most, they consider it acceptable.

it’s just loser behavior from people who fancy themselves as artists.

While I never got to experience Trick or Treat: Lights Out, it honestly looked really cool and creepy. Plus, I find the flashlight gimmick way more intriguing than a lazer gun, especially since the flashlights aid in ratcheting tension and providing scares. Where as the guns, you're more focused on shooting things and you can honestly miss a lot in the action.

And I think the Zoo is a great theme to bring the lights out/flashlight gimmick back. Anything abandoned (such as a zoo), or a facility where things have gone horribly wrong (such as the military base/lab in said zoo!) is pretty fitting. Especially when you're dealing with human animal hybrids who can probably see in the dark very well.

I too, am very curious to see how ops shakes out with the changeover. But I think a factor of them doing it this way is because it'll allow us to see what the house looks like normally beforehand, and then we'll see the sinister juxtaposition of going through it in the dark. Meanwhile Trick or Treat was lit up for years before going dark, so most folks could remember what it was before the notable change.

Trick or Treat: Lights Out was super cool. It totally gave new life to a maze which at that point had been there for a long time. I'm very excited to see how this stacks up. I always thought using the lights out treatment on something like Paranormal Inc would have been cool way to extend it's life by a season.

I don't know where I heard this in the onslaught of info that has come out since Tuesday, but I think their merchandise team said it was an "homage" to Bewitched.
