Look closely and you'll see the Fantasmic Maleficent dragon puppet from THE HANGING (bottom center)

Same, and since it's been a while since they've last done it, it's a fun way to change up the off-season.

Also, 2019's fake signs led to the wonderful surprise of Origins and Waxworks eventually being announced, so I hope whatever this house is turns out to be a great surprise!

And while the nice facade does have a vibe of an Asylum...I can't get my hopes up. Since they're doing shenanigans, they can always keep doing them till the actual house is announced. But I won't lie, Arkham Asylum is another Dream IP that I would absolutely drop everything for. My local airport has an easy non-stop to Orange County and I have the weekends off, I can swing at least one night!

I wish I had a better memory of the Arkham Asylum house at Warner's Horror Made Here event. Unfortunately the DJ's sound bled through almost the entire thing.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a new iteration of Hatchet High..

It was in the courthouse facade/warehouse of the backlot since it started in the courtroom with Judge Joker. This facade at Knott's is not the same as the existing one at WB.

Also the DJ didn't disrupt the experience for Arkham or the other nearby houses/Exorcist experience. What you heard was the edgey techno style soundtrack for the house.

Eitherway, I wouldn't expect a DC house. Just realistic.

Yes, I am aware that the facades are different. As stated, I was at the event. The DJ absolutely had sound bleed on the night I was there, and was completely a unnecessary addition. Atmospheric music would have been a fine alternative.

And for the record, I don't particularly want an Arkham Asylum maze at Knott's. I'd rather see a new version of Hatchet High, a Paranormal Inc sequel, or something original and fresh.

Here is the progress of the Bloodline replacement over the span of two weeks.

ORIGINS (Year 6)


Currently no movement has been made (yet) to get Origins rebuilt, but it's possible they plan to use the Wilderness Dance Hall for 4th of July weekend. I have heard a small rumor that this maze is getting a refresh, but we'll see if true..

LEGACY STORE (COMING SOON)




So all the "Spooky Town" & Scary Farm merch has been relocated to the back of the Emporium gift shop. It is very "bare bones" (not pun intended) for a quick easy conversion. I was told Emporium should be closing at the end of the month for the Legacy Store overhaul & reopen in August like usual.

RETIRING MAZES IN 2025:
● Mesmer (Year 5)
● Grimoire (Year 4)

Despite CarnEvil getting the big revamp recently to match Mesmer after Dark Ride retired, the rumor is this will be Mesmer's "final season".

Grimoire is also rumored to be on the chopping block this year as well, which makes sense since I was told they had been "fixing it up" shortly after last year's event.

Scary Farm did recently have auditions & I heard that they've shifted returning veteran scareactors around & out of their normal scarezones. So apparently the vibe is kinda off for some of the veterans.

Eh, I'm the least sad about those two houses getting retired. Mesmer was fine while it lasted. Conceptually, I liked Grimoire, and certain scenes work well, I can see why it wasn't a favorite. That space is just so hard to handle due to the mostly open air nature, and I loved Nevermore, so I feel like nothing in that location has hit that high point since.
