I don’t agree with the line part but I never liked Grimoire. They can do much better than that story/structure.

Grimoire was a poorly executed house that honestly doesn't deserve to stick around past 2025.

The same guy that created Grimoire created Bloodline. Both had incoherent storylines, poor execution & a few decent looking sets, but suffered in the scare department.

Origins does need a refresh (although all existing mazes need one with a few changes here/there), better staffing for scareactors & proper scare school (which Knotts fails at). As @Freak said, it does tie into the Ghost Town mythos, so it should stick around longer by default.

Sad to report, the Emporium is open for business as usual & isn't getting the Legacy Store conversion yet.

However, Forsaken Lake & The Gauntlet SZs are both not listed for streets.. that seems odd. I asked my friend about it, I'll see what he says.

***EDIT: UPDATE... He told me Forsaken Lake & Gauntlet are listed. The screenshot failed to scroll down further. So we still have 5 SZs.

Interesting. It's been done in the past there, but so much has changed I would like to see how they'd handle it now.

Who could ever forget they had a zombie maze, and then a final room tied into the Carrie remake lol. Or Evil Dead Ash making appearance on the final lift on Timber Mountain. Or the Stepfather.

It would be interesting to see them go all-in on an IP. I think the first year I went in 2009 they did a maze based on the movie Quarantine, but it wasn't very identifiable to the IP. Maybe with the merge, there's some IPs available that the Six Flags side has that are paid for. Like use one IP at Knotts instead of Magic Mountain, just speculating there.

I don't think that works out time-wise. I assume any potential licensing deal for this year's event was negotiated for sometime last year, and I don't think they would agree to incorporate an unreleased movie that isn't a part of an existing successful franchise.
