Was Six Flags so bad that they have carried the Curse of Six (mismanagement and broken coasters) to Cedar Fair?

Here's the kicker, the rumored list of coasters to be retired over the next two seasons came from Cedar Fair, which also lines up with the rumor that Six Flags didn't want to take down Kingda Ka.

I can understand changing Ka and Dragster if they are really expensive to maintain. The threat against Anaconda makes some sense as the old Arrow looping coasters have turned into headbangers (assuming that it is like Vortex was). Now, the rumor is The Bat could be removed from Kings Island which makes no sense unless repair parts are hard to find.

I just worry that they are going to demolish the coaster lineups which is an overreaction.

Brings me no joy to relay this, but the park has suddenly laid off a large portion of fulltime positions today. Got a friend who's justifiably upset at this, especially since this feels like a bad budget saving kind of move.

Got a chance to visit KD as part of a trip to SFA and wow, I was blown away by Rapterra. Never been a huge fan of the wings. But I thought that Rapterra felt a lot different and I ended up loving it. The launch was more powerful than I expected and that weird horizontal top hat (not the technical term I'm sure!) was really really cool, especially when you're on the inside and can look down. The rest of the ride was pretty standard wing stuff but that start was so much better than the other wings I've ridden.

Also, wow, Pantherian/i305, I think I finally get why people love it. I rode it twice in its opening year before the reprofile and thought it was too much. Rode it again in 2022 and thought it was just okay. This trip I got two rides on and thought it was exceptional. I was dehydrated and sleep deprived after a night not sleeping on the red eye flight and I grayed out more than I ever remember doing in 2010. And the rest of the course felt so fast in a way I don't remember and like it just wanted to rip your head off.

Had a fantastic time at the park. Only got to stay a few hours before I headed back to Dulles to catch my flight back home but definitely glad I visited! I took tons of pictures and I'm sure I'll post them here at some point when I finally have time to get them edited!
