At MidSummer Scream, it was announced that Killcenera will be coming to Halloweek Horror Nights!

Killcenera will be located in Parisian Courtyard.

Cool

Excited to see more, think it should be fun enough but also.....like if Monsters can go away then we can do something very very different at this house too hopefully one year

tl;dr Lola's house burns (on dia de los muertos) leaving her an orphan and scarring her, leading her to be bullied, 10 years later she summons a bunch of ghosts and monsters from stories to punish the bullies in quinceañera themed ways

so essentially, Monstruos with a more specific framing device

This has a lot of potential and kinda reminds me of Carrie -- which I'm disappointed by -- but I am willing to see what they do with it. Not sure what I would've done differently or what I wanted, but not necessarily the girl's quince to be the one doing the summoning lol

I like the concept but also I was sort of hoping it'd be a straight up slasher rather than a ghost thing. Anyway, probably my most anticipated.

I think the vocals to the song are a little corny but the guitar work is fantastic. So much better than the INK song. Gives me "If Tim Burton did Coco" vibes.

Looking forward to this house.

Ngl this read very corny in a way I don't think is intended. Like of course its gunna be silly its a killer quince but the story beats, names, etc read a bit....under researched.

I think this is a smart framing device where they don’t have to commit to new monsters and can use their now stable of Latin monster characters and settings.

In other words…

This is partly why I was hoping it'd be a slasher thing, because human slashers would be a different angle with the Latin culture houses they've been doing.

Literally any hispanic folklore monster in existence except for the Chupacabra.

I wouldn’t mind the appearance of some reused monsters, as long as the house doesn’t feel like it’s “Monstruos 4: The Quinceañera”.

I am always hoping every house is great and this is no exception, but I would really like to see them move away and try some new themes out after this year.

Agreed. I might be willing to take one more Hispanic concept IF and only IF they finally do the most obvious choice: The Chupacabra.

Other than that, I agree. It’s kinda time to move on. We have had five straight years of a Hispanic house and I would like to see something else take place…like Asian folklore. There’s also a very large Asian population in Los Angeles, so why not tap into that?

I hope the house is great, and think that fans online are ready for something new....Park wise I think it makes them money having this theme no matter what the story is but hope at some point they can try something else

At least for me this year, I do like the Scarezone behind it, so its the saving grace for me is the house might be good but if not at least I'll enjoy the scarezone

The Chupacabra theme sounds awesome, but I still think it needs a rest after this year.

I agree, give Latino themes a rest for a few years and then bring it back with El Chupacabra and La Catrina (The final two characters they haven't done in a house.. unless Killceanera ends with the plot twist of Lola becoming La Catrina or being revealed as having been La Catrina this whole time)..
