I haven't noticed this. I do seem to remember reading a couple years back that a new contractor for lighting came on board Universal Orlando. I have noticed the lighting on multiple attraction since then has gotten much better.

They’re to the right as you enter the lift. It’s a projection of two raptors’ shadows snapping at one another

I think that’s new. Used to be able to see the kiosks at the end of that path I believe.

It's new. When I looked down there a few days ago all you saw was the barricade but not the walls behind it.

I would so love to see a B&M launched wing coaster for a coaster idea in this area. There is a launch wing coaster somewhere, thinking its called THUNDERBIRD. It would fit in with the area, I think . I am a big time B&M coaster fan, and design the trains to look like a Raptor from either JP or JW. Plus, I think Universal would maybe benefit with a high thrill coaster, even would be an amazing coaster to design & theme to JW. Plus, the closest wing coaster is what CP, with Gatekeeper. Now I got my non stop creative mind a spinning. A wing coaster is probably not what they would want, but you could draw in a lot of people with that type of coaster here in Orlando. What are you guys thinking about a B&M winged launch coaster? Although, if it is a woodie, look what BGW did to have their very first Wooden coaster with INVADR, (GCI), used steal supports and beams to cut down on noise, since King's Mill up there has very weird restrictions, thats why most of the coasters are blue or white shades where they can be seen by residents of KM, (except for AC, LNM,) Plus it cuts down on the noise, although I have not yet ridden INVADR, since I moved to Orlando . Sorry for the ramble, but I would love to see another B&M back at IOA, since DC is poof gone.

Not going to happen, but it would be cool to have a huge Dino AA in the lagoon water where the coaster approaches closely. The Dino roars and makes a move at the coaster car. Could be iconic like the Gringotts' dragon is in Diagon, being able to see it attack from various vantage points around the lagoon.

Maybe this is where Orlando’s Mosasaur is going? That’d be worth going over the lagoon for. Seems like the kind of thrill a Dinosaur Park would push too.

After watching @AliciaStella awesome recent HP video, I can’t help but want the exact same thing for JP. I know it won’t happen, but a few dark and slow show scenes with launches would be amazing. Especially having a Mososaurus coming out of water.

This HP coaster might ruin me for all future coasters.

Yeah, it would be so iconic. I can see people standing on the shores of the lagoon all day taking photos. So, UC, if you're reading, use some of that budget money you cut from FF, and do this. Like Potter, it will pay for itself many times over. ;):).....Petition drive time.

The exterior. I don't think anybody believes what's inside there is sacrosanct in any way, but the actual building itself is the only piece of JP iconography that is visible from around the lagoon. It's basically the "weenie" for that land.

There were no “aquatic Dinosaurs” (same goes for flying). They were reptiles :)

I could get on board with the Mosasaur idea, that’s a good one for sure. Unfortunately, I sort of get the idea that won’t happen. JP is definitely a missed opportunity as I think the franchise is big enough to warrant more attention in the park. Hopefully they can really do it justice though because I’m totally on board if they do

A lightly themed coaster could be put up fairly quickly. It could serve a number of purposes:
* A desirable thrill attraction for the Universal core demographic (15 to 30) that has been kind of left on the sidelines lately. And it will help to keep them from migrating over to Sea World for coaster kicks.

Yeah...honestly after a trip hitting Sea World, Bush Gardens, and UOR, I think I'm this demo and UOR feels pretty weak in the thrills department compared to those much cheaper parks. Really hoping this turns out to be a coaster, but I also hope that this turns out to have more theming than Hulk, at least a couple Dino AAs.

My only hope for this is that it isn't as hideous, intrusive, or uninspired as the The Flying Dinosaur at Universal Japan. I'm perfectly fine with an actual thrill coaster to balance out the loss of Dragon Challenge but please don't let it be like The Flying Dinosaur. I still think it's a little odd that we're getting a coaster in 2019 and then another coaster in 2020 in the same park and right next door to each other but if it's good, it's good and I'm not one of those pixy-dusters that thinks coasters can't coexist in a theme park setting. It's all about balance and variety.

The very real threat to Universal here is that Potter is shaping up to be a truly groundbreaking and excellent coaster which will set the bar very high for this JP coaster.

You wonder if during the development of the HP coaster, they thought that certain elements would work equally well for a JP coaster and thought why not build two?

I think they're two different beasts. HP coaster is meant to be an answer to Disney's highly themed mountain rides (sans the mountain) while the JP coaster is meant to be a more traditional thrill coaster. At least that's what I gather.
