If they feel it MUST be connected to Rebirth, easy thinking would say their cure goes awry, requiring more dino DNA so the band gets back together and has to go to yet another mysterious, lush island where dino hi-jinx ensue, rinse, repeat, profit. And I'm sure they'll be a totally bad capitalism is king guy there to be eaten at the end and maybe a completely innocent civilian or three that get caught up on the island because they were delivering for DoorDash and it told them to go to an island of dinos by mistake.

Where do they go from here?

I fear it will be a reboot of the franchise with a limited series remake of the original Jurassic Park for Netflix.

Unless it just completely tanks out at the box office after opening weekend, there's no way they'll be taking a cash cow out of the theaters. The world just continues to yearn for more dino action, regardless of anything in the movie around it.

Thinking on it a bit, the dinosaurs being relegated to the equator doesn't automatically mean "island".

It would be kinda cool if somehow the plot took them to an abandoned area of South America, including a major city or the Amazon.

the last 2 tried something new with the mansion, dinos on land and the locusts. and people didn't really like them.
and the new one just remade Jurassic Park 3.

I honestly have no idea where they go now.

I want a reimagining of JP2. Terrorists have hijacked a trailer full of contraband velociraptors and other dinosaurs and released them in a city or something

I'd love to see a prequel to Jurassic Park that shows the first creation of the dinosaurs, everything leading up to theme park preview, and some mishaps of transporting the dinosaurs from Site B to Isla Nublar.

But as for a sequel to Rebirth, I'm also stumped. But I also know I want no more mutant dinosaurs.

kinda like a movie anaconda mixed with Congo. that would be amazing. the amazing would be such a beautiful setting. I hope they move away from. the island and into villages.
but after what David Koepp said. sadly I think they won't have dinosaurs interacting with the real world. he basically said so.

this sounds cool too. I hope we get dinos in a small city like that. but Dominion kinda did it already.

somehow with the box office of the last 3 movies and the strong opening of this movie, I feel like mutant dinos are here to stay.
the indo Rex in Jurassic world was basically a very big hit and for 4 movies, these characters keep repeating on how " people don't care about dinosaurs anymore" so I feel like, if anything, more mutants are coming.
it's gonna come to a point where every dino will be a mutant lol.

I desperately want some of the aspects of the movie integrated into JPRA (looking at you T-Rex river scene)

and to think about it, there's probably someone at the studio that wishes to combine the Jurassic world universe with fast and the furious or transformers lol.

Didn't care for it at all, but it's gonna make a billion dollars and we're just gonna get more of the same...

I enjoyed the film way more than I expected to. It's not perfect, but I found there to be way more suspense than the previous 3 JW films. Like others have said previously, I'm curious how they continue the story. I would have no problem recommending this film to someone who wants a good summer popcorn flick.

I like that one part in Fallen Kingdom where it becomes a haunted house movie. Some real juice in that sequence.

I do like the idea of distinct Jurassic movies acting like a farm system for talent. They should do one as a western.

I mean not to derail the thread too much but when Megan 2 is a better film then Jurassic...come on

Do they not do test screens or have people read things are say "my god that is generic, we need to give these characters at least some depth"

Maybe people here haven't see them but the John Wick: Ballerina, Ello, The Phoenician Scheme, F1 and so on are just better movies and it sucks to see them kinda just get left on the side of the road while this film makes a billion but is mostly boring

Outside the raft scene which I do think was well done with the tension and what not most other scenes are kinda just....here is action without much real tension and if we are going to make NEW Dinosaurs why did they make it so uncool and ugly. Like this is your chance to make something pretty dam cool and that was the best they could come up with

To me just a lot of the film felt like the script needed more work especially on the character writing, this leads to some wooden acting, the family needed to be cut, the New Dinosaurs just didn't look that cool and kinda were not a threat and the movie could be cut down by at least 40 mins

Besides the OG film, we have Jurassic World: Chaos Theory which is more interesting and is being made now...so its modern Jurassic that doesn't suck.

I'm more impressed that people want to defend this film, like this film? No idea why to me I saw almost no passion in this film. The best thing that can come out of it is they add some of the dinosaurs to the rides in the theme parks or add some as meet and greet characters

it’s more that you constantly act like all you need to do to make a great movie is ask the fans (aka people like you) which is absurd. not all art is good. this is like showing up to a baseball game and asking why a guy doesn’t just try harder after striking out. i assure you, they’re trying!

We just Disagree on what trying means

Andor Star Wars is trying. Amazing sets, great writing and great story, and amazing action

This movie felt like no one was having fun making it, from the acting and writing to once again you get to make up dinosaurs and a rancor was the best design you could come up with?

in the end it will make money and its sad universal makes really good films like Megan people ignore it or even dogman/wild robot which got great reviews but should have made way more considering how good they were especially compared to this kinda movie
