Technically Roy wasn’t ever CEO while Walt was alive. He was given that title officially (even though he had been unofficially CEO since the company’s inception) after Walt died to signal stability to investors.

As a side note, Walt & Roy both held the President title (Dana’s new role) together until 1945.

After Roy gave up the President title to Donn Tatum when Walt passed away, it wasn’t standard practice for CEO & President to the be the same person until Eisner absorbed the title after the Ovtiz fiasco.

It was dissolved as a title in 2016.

Yeah, I think that was inevitable anyway. They’re still under capacity on cruise ships and hotel rooms (in Anaheim).
