"Insidious times 10" is the most marketing thing I've ever heard

Every time I hear something like that, I can't help but think of Team America.

"It's gonna be 9/11 times 100."

Yeah, the "Insidious times 10" is very much marketing hype and should absolutely be taken with a grain of salt. If the house packs a punch, let it do so on its own.

Now the comment I am excited to hear is the multiple versions of Jason that'll be in the house, there's a nice batch of them throughout the series, so I'm excited to see who pop's up.

I don't think they want people to be confuse and tie into thinking there's a titans thing coming in the future. People will easily think that's the direction they're going.

It'd be nice to see a respective set for each movie and entering at least a scene on the Grendel would be so killer lol, heck even the scene where Jason is being projected on the ground being rebuilt by the ships' system and he pops around the corner.

I know that I’m focusing too much on the marketing here but I don’t like that they’re saying this house is Insidious x10, especially because it hasn’t even opened yet. It sets up an unfair expectation for both guests and performers, and kinda discredits the work done on their literal HOTY.

It does feel weird but I think in a way since the characters of Insidious were iconic, Jason is even as icon even more as to say Iconic than Insidious so I think they're meaning that the scares in this house are going to be just as in your face as they were in insidious which is to honestly be expected with a slasher like Jason.

It was a good house yes, I think it did very well in terms of numbers, it wouldn't say it was overhyped but it was definitely placed up there as one of the biggest hyped ips at our event but that's mostly due to it not featured at our event as a standalone since 2015 meanwhile Hollywood had a house every other year.

Jason is up there since he hadn't had a standalone house since 2007 that says something, I think his house especially in the location its in will do great as the area did for Major Sweets.

I generally look forward to the original concept houses WAY more and wasn't expecting much walking in to Insidious last year, but it blew me away...could have been the lower IP expectations, but this was a truly great house IMO. For me as far as IP houses go it's up there with Poltergeist and The Thing.

All that to say I find the marketing speak interesting for Jason this year. It really does feel like they're going all out, we'll see how it translates. Here's hoping it's awesome!

The set is mostly just Crystal Lake it seems but its better than nothing honestly although I would have loved each scene to be its respective movies for sure, I'd love to see Grendel as nod to Jason X or an alleyway or sewer scene for Jason Takes Manhattan or at least something like that but this seems similar to what our previous Jason was like where it mostly took place in Camp Crystal and going through different cabins while coming across various Jasons.

I'm honestly totally fine with it being in the camp setting - going through Yeti: Campground Kills, I couldn't help but think "this whole thing just screams F13"

isn't the "insidious times 10" comment just referring to the approach to the house? it'll focus on intensity and in-your-face jump scares. if that's your cup of tea (definitely mine), awesome! if you're more of an earl grey kinda guy, perhaps less awesome.
