mask is way too narrow. the eye holes look like sunglasses (I hate the jacket. looks too normal)

someone on Twitter redesigned the mask to be rounder and fixed te eyes. I really hope that universal can do a better job than the official art.

Orlando Florida only really properly had Jason 2 times only
you have no idea how sad that is for me. I'm glad he's back..but it hurts that he was missing so much. compared to Cali.

Side note - the person that posted that is Womp Stomp Films - they made Never Hike Alone, an F13 fan film (which I'd recommend btw)

But the design they posted is basically what Jason looks like in their fan film lol

How is it being a new story mean the rights are a mess? Murdy almost always gives us "a new story with easter eggs" when it comes to the houses. This is just business as usual.

Familiar content, new presentation. The sky isn't falling.

This being in the Mummy venue is going to feel like HHN of old. Mummy venue is the last venue from the original post-hiatus era. That location has a narrow, winding, and fast feel about it that keeps pushing you toward the end in an intense way. There's been some duds here (Clowns, This is the End) but mostly some all timers (TCM Back in Business, Saw, Exorcist). This or Persian Square would've been the most fitting place for it, nostalgia-wise, since Camp Blood and Kill, Jason, Kill were in the WWW venue where Universal plaza now stands. I know some people think venues are a bit arbitrary, but I def think there's some magic to them.

Well, the rights are a mess -- but totally agree that won't be to the detriment of this house. If they're doing something similar to what they did last year with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I am very intrigued.

I always heard that the rights controversy was over the first movie, not everything else. and even with a new story everyone was expecting iconic kills, but he said only "Easter eggs "

The question he was responding to was featuring kills and references from previous F13th houses, not necessarily the films. The rights holder to the first film is also involved with Jason Universe, so that shouldn't be an issue.

They are one & the same. The term "easter egg" also applies to iconic kills... whether from the films or original kills from past houses if possible.
