With the new Indiana Jones ride arriving at Animal Kingdom, maybe they'll just retire the show? It's been modified to hell and isn't as cool or fun as it used to be. Scared to see what these NEW modifications involving the boulder will be.

Is that prop 400 pounds?

Rhetorical question, of course. That bouncing "beach ball" is not 400 pounds. That CM was at a really bad angle to stop the prop - you can see the next guy easily knock it out of the way. But good on him for trying and sad he was injured.

I'm not sure, even if it's 50 lbs the momentum of it coming and him trying to reverse the energy would knock him out.

*edit* quick research and I've reliably seen the 400 lbs (and 440 lbs) listed as its weight so it's probably actually that heavy.

The guy had six stitches and is recovering. The ball has bounced out before.

Yep, and there's video of that too.

In that case, it's clear that the performer's misstep led to the ball bouncing out. They'll probably want to see what caused it this time before deciding to bring it back.

Yeah I think it's more likely they change what the actor does and not removing the ball. Or, hear me out, snipers in the rafters to pop it if it goes towards the audience. lol

The CM is amazing for doing that, and no one in the crowd looked to move...so people are either stupid or want to get hit to sue....I mean my god move people

How callous. I certainly wouldn't be mentally prepped to leap up and dash within 2 seconds of a giant prop being thrown my way at a Disney World show.

I've only ever heard the very best about the Epic team. The CM shouldn't have needed to jump in like that, but they were very brave and quick to do so anyways. I hope that they are able to recover swiftly.
