The Simspons Ride at Universal Orlando. Closed BTTF March 30, 2007 (I was there the last day, just saying ) to be rethemed as a Simpsons attraction. Was it a good retheming of a simulator ride, or not? The ride system from BTTF is still existing, but is very loud and rickety. I feel like I'm on a wood coaster riding it. I personally dislike the ride. Anyone, do you like it or not?

Not a big fan. Not the worst ride in the world but not the best simulator in terms of ride or theming either. A lot of the Krustyland theming ended up forced due to the design of the building and attraction's process of Preshow Standby Preshow Briefing and Preshow ride. A lot better could of been done for the queue and set up of the ride, but a lot less could of been done as well. I only bother with it if I am taking or with new people to the resort who have never been on it.

At least it is still more entertaining than Soarin'

I agree. The ride would've been a bigger hit I think if the queve would've been themed to be more like the Simpsons world instead of plain old purple painted walls and flat screen tvs playing "best of" clips from the simpsons. The area inside where you wait before entering the preshow was very well themed, as well as the simulator cars and the car area. That's just about all that was done well with that ride.

I think it's the funniest ride ever made. I STILL find new things to laugh at each time I ride it. I do think that they could have done a lot better as far as upgrades to the ride film and audio system. The audio, especially, is extremely weak and the picture should be a much higher resolution.

I agree completely. Might've been good to upgrade the audio and maybe have even made the ride movie a 3D one? Just a thought.

I like it, though after 10+ visits I like it less and less each time. Maybe do a Star Tours style upgrade?

Honestly if we get more 3-D rides I just may bring a bag full of aspirin with me when I go to Uni lol.

Just upgrade the resolution and the ride is fine.

Every time I go on Simpsons I always come off thinking it reminds me of a ride that would be great with 3D. Much more than DM, imo.

Ever since BTTF was replaced, I never went back to Universal Orlando again also I don't plan on ever going back. Universal could have updated BTTF and not replace it with the Simpons, it's ride the "Movies" not the "Cartoons" the Simpsons only had one movie and that was all. BTTF was the greatest ride in Universal, also it was the most reason I went to Universal was so I could sit in the 8-passenger Delorean and chase Biff through time.. Universal ruined that for me and that is why I will never return there again.. ever!

I understand where you are coming from. I too was very upset when they replaced Back to the Future with Simpsons. But if you never go back.....ever.....you are going to miss out on a lot of other really cool stuff!

My thoughts exactly, I mean c'mon now the ride had a built in lifespan. People always say "oh they just could've updated it" but how in the hell could you do that? You go into the future of 6 days from now and then what? If back to the future was still running today we'd all be complaining about how dated it is and how it needs to go immediately, anybody who says otherwise is nostalgically blind. Also go back to uni, your missing a ton of cool s**t. Rant over

I definitely wouldn't say it was a terrible ride. But, it's kinda pathetic to
Be saying you would "never go back" to universal since they closed it

That's your opinion.

BTTF was an awesome ride back in the day, and also my favorite in the 90's. it definitely would have needed a serious update had they decided to keep it running today. Honestly, I think an indoor launch coaster would have been a better ride with a longer lifespan over a simulator.

Comcast said; Universal will never be ready, it will always change and evolve. If you want clasic rides with updates go visit that old crap that is called Epcot, enjoy.
