I tried to buy Express two years ago and it was sold out for opening weekend. I had 2 options though, upgrade my ROF to ROF+Ex or buy an Unlimited express pass. I did this in the early morning.
For the after 11 express, I've also been able to purchase at guest services for multiple days in the future, although his was 2018 or 2019. Anyway, the sooner you try in person the better.

I had a similar experience in 2019, so not sure how different it is now. We went into Kwik E Mart on the morning of our HHN night and bought Express passes no problem!

I haven't been yet, first day is Friday, but with NF lines being so crazy you have to devout a lot of time to see it, so will be difficult without Express.

The shows will make it harder IMO. It’s doable if you stay until 2am but with minimal breaks, minimal time in scarezones, etc.

I’ll be the there the same day for by 3rd visit sans express and my priority is houses. Might skip FNAF until the end

It would be extremely difficult, but doable if you're willing to dedicate minimal time to scare zones/food/etc. Post-midnight optimization will be crucial. My strategy would be to S&S for Terrifier and hit a couple of soundstage targets of opportunity (WWE, Artista) when you get out, then line up for the first Nightmare Fuel showing around 7:20. Be willing to tank long waits for Jason and the new tent houses from 8:30 to midnight. Watch the midnight Ghoulish showing then hit the Hatchet->Dolls combo immediately afterwards (pick a viewing position that lets you slip right out into Springfield as soon as the show ends). Then go back and clean up your remaining soundstage houses (probably Grave) before hopping in line for FNAF at 1:58.

Great advice. What time does Terrifier start to fill in, right at 4 or do people head to a "Hub" at 3:30/3:45 and linger? Not sure how this hub thing work.

The hub is really just the back area of the soundstages. You can freely walk around within the walled off areas. You cannot queue up for any of the houses though until 4 and only FNAF and Wyatt Sicks open at 5:15.

The hub area doesn’t really open until 3:30-3:45.
