I can attest this as well. I was walking towards Potter when I heard the opening ceremony audio take place. That’s when I booked it before the mid descended my way.

I think it might be worth adding WWE into your rotation if you get braver throughout the night. The line will be short, it's not too gory, and I'd say just about the same level of scariness as Fallout and Poltergeist. Oh and also Terror Tram -- that's usually a cake walk.

Will definitely play it by ear after at least those three. Thanks for vouching Wyatt Sicks' intensity, Only reason I was unsure about that one was because last I checked, the dead bodies in that one seemed more graphic than Fallout's, and the lighting is more darker/nightmarish. Will still consider.

I figured I'd also ask, but do any mazes other than Terrifier use scents, and if so are they also meant to gross out? I've heard of that approach being used in the past, so I thought I'd ask for mental prep. Especially since much to my surprise, Fallout's AP walkthrough didn't have any, though I wonder if any were just deactivated. I wanna say not usually and it's most likely for the more intense houses I don't plan to hit anyway.

Wyatt Sicks definately has some nasty smells. Scarecrow can have some funky smells, but other than that I think they actually have some pleasant scents in the other ones.

This is just off the dome so I may miss some, but here's all the smells I can remember;

Fallout: Sewage-ish smell in yao guai bear room.
Monstruos: Musty/dirt smell in opening crypt scene.
Wyatt Sicks: Rot/Mildew in Abby the Witch's room, Rotting meat in Huskus the Pig's room.
FNAF: Pizza (allegedly but I haven't smelled it personally) in the kitchen.
Jason Universe: Burning/Smoke in the campfire/corpse montage room, maybe a foresty smell in several rooms but it's weak if its not just my imagination.
Scarecrow: Generalized Dry Rot in the opening hallway/dining room. Secondarily every time I've been down there, the very last part of the queue smells like either sewage leak or puke but I guarantee that's not intentional lol.
Terrifier: Bleach in the bleach barrel room, Baby powder in the doll room, Popcorn in the clown cafe, Poop in the poop room, Christmas cookies in the christmas room.
Poltergeist: Soap in the mirror room, Sulfur in the ghost dimension room.

Out of these, the only ones that have really bothered me have been the Poop in Terrifier and both smells in Wyatt Sicks, otherwise they all feel pretty tolerable for my tastes. The bleach in Terrifier strangely smells less like bleach to me and more like roasted peppers.

Hm, well it looks like Poltergeist might be my first significant test. Knowing WS has some pretty strong stuff now definitely adds to it being a maybe for me. XP

Hey everyone, I went to HHN on Sunday, September 14 and even though it's been a while, I really wanted to put my experience in here because it just went so well. So here goes!

I got to the park at 3:30 (I had an AP with EA) and immediately bolted down to the Lower Lot so I could get in line for FNAF. When I got to the entrance portal, I noticed a lot of people waiting around the area sitting down and I guessed that they were there for FNAF but no one was actually lined up (maybe cause it was so hot and everyone wanted to stay in the shade) so I put myself right in front of the queue entrance and in about 5 minutes, everyone and their mother started to line up behind me as well. By around 3:50, the line was already by Jurassic World and we were let into the main queue at 4:00. We waited in front of the facade for about an hour before entering at around 5:00 and I was the very first GA guest in that night. Right after getting out, the queue was already full for FNAF with even the Transformers main queue already in usage.

I went over to Jason where I waited around 10 minutes (most of that time was just waiting for the maze to open for the night) but while FNAF was already fully staffed even though I was the very first guest, Jason was missing like 75% of its cast during that first run through. Even though it was a bad run, I lived with it and stuck to the rest of my plan rather than getting another run through. I went over to Scarecrow and it said 15 mins and the general line wasn't bad at all but the Express got INSANELY long. It feels like a reoccurring problem specifically at Scarecrow with Express just mobbing this maze during Early Entry. But anyways, I waited for about 10 minutes and didn't move at all while Express just kept going and going and I realized that I was gonna be in there for an hour and waste the best time to hit up Terrifier and Poltergeist so I left the line and ran up the stairs to get to H-lot.

The time from 6:00-6:30 is the best to hit up H-lot now. When I got there, both mazes were walk-ons. I took advantage and went through Terrifier 3 times and Poltergeist 4 times. By the time I came out of Poltergeist the last time, Terrifier's line was full and that was at around 6:30. I went over to the main park again and decided to do Monstruos since it said 10 minutes. I walked the line and most of Minions was being used so I just bailed out and hopped in line for Fallout instead. Waited 20 minutes and then decided to hit up Terror Tram before that line got big. Definitely do Terror Tram somewhat early (but not early when the sun is still out) because not only do you not have to wait in much of a line but you also get to walk the Tram route without it being crazy congested like it tends to get when the lines are longer. After Tram, I decided to go down to the LL and get my run through of WWE. I waited about 20 minutes and as I was in line for it, I had noticed that Scarecrow's wait time was marked at 20 minutes as well so I went over to Scarecrow after WWE and waited about 25 minutes.

After that, I went back up to catch the 10:00 Scare-mony but I had some time to kill so I decided to run through Fallout again since it had a really short wait and then got to do the Scare-mony (which I honestly recommend the 10:00 one because there's a really good chance that the clowns open a pit afterwards since that'sthe time when there'sthe least amount of crowds walking through the area). Afterwards, I ate some of the Fallout food they had at Hollywood and Dine (which was pretty good honestly) and because I took a while eating, it was already almost time for the next Scare-mony so I watched that one as well. Afterwards, I sorta just chilled and people-watched, ran into Murdy, got to walk through Fallout with him, and chilled some more in the scarezones.

By the time midnight was approaching, I knew I wanted to do some of the mazes in the Lower Lot again so I booked it back down there and, to my surprise, Jason's queue was completely dead with only one switchback being used so even though the wait time board said it was an 80 minute wait, I waited about 10 minutes. Definitely a MUCH better run through than my first one that night. From there, I went to give Scarecrow another try, waited about 15 minutes, and then went to WWE and waited about 10 minutes. I also popped into the FNAF restaurant to see if they had anymore cupcakes left but by that time they had sold out for the night. The line was pretty steady for that restaurant most of the night though.

From there, I went upstairs to try and make it for the 1:00 AM Scare-mony (which I did) and afterwards got a good spot for the Chainsaw Chaseout. The best spot to stand seems to be right by the Wicked gift shop. While watching the Chase-out, I knew I had to make time for Monstruos since I was still missing it (literally every time I checked, it would say it was like 15 mins, I'd walk into the queue and see almost the entire Minion Mayhem queue in use. It was kind of ridiculous) so I kept checking the time to make sure I didn't miss my little window. At around 1:58 AM, I bolted for Monstruos and still made it with a minute to spare. I walked right in and got to do a solo run-through with the entire cast in there. Absolutely terrifying stuff. And that was my night. All in all, pretty successful stuff!

I’m usually someone who attends in November but not sure about this year. The 2 dates are the 1st which is a Saturday and the 2nd which is closing night. Which would be a better bet for a less packed event?

I mean Saturday has more extra add on passes sold out

So right now Sunday is looking better but that weekend will be packed

The event will have no more slow days

So my friend surprised me with Express tickets on Oct. 10; the catch being we can't do early entry since they can't go till they're out of work at 5. Considering how busy everything is, and getting to the park right around when the event officially opens, what should the plan of attack be? I don't necessarily care about reruns, as I do know the LL clears out at the end of the night for it.

I would just start with terrier or fallout

When I had express both times it was easy to do everything but the shows you might want to skip

FNAF express line should die down after the event opens but at 6:30-7:30 it can be a longer Q for express from what I’ve seen

Terrifier line can also be bad at start but with express everytime I’ve used it I’ve only wanted 15ish mins at max unless you see the line out of the express Q you should be good

Jason also can take a few extra mins with express

Just a head’s up, I pulled up to HHN at 9:30 and my parking pass works! The restrictions after 6PM only apply for Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Just wanted to post this in case there was any doubt parking wouldn’t work after 6 On Thursdays or Wednesdays

Went last night and made a HUGE mistake

If you rope drop FNAF with AP and then EA, you can get on Jason normally pretty easy but do not hit Scarecrow

The ops when it opens is like 9/10 are express, so skip it and head up to the upper lot or do Jason again

I also hit Wyatt at opening and same thing, waited 20 mins not because it had a line but because they just let express flow, like 10+ mins where general does not move.....just terrible ops for general people

I went on the Terror Tram twice and one thing I wish, was TMs could stop the groups so everyone can get the chainsaw attack both times I was not able to get off the Tram before they did the chainsaws so its like getting the left overs. I know we want the attraction to move but maybe next year have the chainsaws further back so you don't have to attack 3 seconds after people get off the tram
Terror Tram is great and Megan was getting lots of love and cheers last night (where were you people when Megan 2.0 came out? Better film then the new Jurrasic for sure)

I saw Art doing just lots of fun thing in parks from chasing a clown who scared me, like the clown come up behind me and Art saw this and made eyes at him and chases him, lolllll

I also saw him ducking in the store and surprising people and the TMs working the store seemed to love this

Also note King Crow was outside the front of Scarecrow, its both cool but the last room I think in Scarecrow is better with him in it....maybe if they have a second costume have him both out front and at the end?

Last note last Thursday, I just killed it and Sunday seems to have more people and was a little bit harder to do more. So while tickets are selling out Thursday and Wednesday might still be your best bet

I went last night. My group arrived early enough at 1:50PM to get a couple rides in and eat the FNAF stuff before the EA line for FNAF opened around 4PM. Was a good call in hindsight since the Studio Cafe looked much more packed once HHN started. My group also rope dropped FNAF as soon as EA lines opened; Also a great call thanks to the prior foresight, since we ended up being the tail end of the first row of people in once fully inside the sound stage. Was great, though I did notice after watching a video that two cast members weren't there; one was a guy that's getting presumably attacked after you pass the kitchen and the Freddy arm through the wall didn't move.

Considering my group had some houses we weren't interested in or outright wanted to skip (Terrifier included), we kind of had a different plan of attack compared to the usual groups. Since we got out quickly, one of us did Jason and Scarecrow while me and another did Mario Kart. Only other houses we did throughout the night were Poltergeist, and then Fallout after. We also saw Purge and Chainsaw Man too. We gave Mario Kart another shot with the full group later, and seeing a 15 minute wait for it was a truly rare sight. Hadn't seen SNW that empty since those makeup passholder previews. However, we didn't stay until closing since my buds felt spent around midnight, so I didn't get to give FNAF another try. Only regret, really. XP

I will say though, HHN is more tolerable than I thought, but my god were those scare actors in the main scare zones aggressive, especially the chainsaw clowns (which I weren't expecting the chainsaws to give off fuel smells and sound as loud as real ones. Wonder how they made those modified chainsaws work) and the hillbilly zombies in the Terror Tram entrance (which I peeked in out of curiosity). While I see that you can dodge them a bit by going into the shops or getting lost in the crowd, makes me glad I got early access, which indeed allowed me to avoid most of them. The crow ones were indeed much more chill, which I appreciate. I only saw Art on the lower lot, but it was a lot more funny seeing him move around. Not to mention that multiple scare actors like the ones in the upper lot are much scarier than one (Two if you count the times Slash decides to go scare people coming out of JW). Didn't go into Noche De Brujas though.

Overall, I think going forward I'm okay with going as long as there's stuff within my limits, like FNAF/Poltergeist/Fallout and those shows. Since there's no guarantee each year will be the case for me, probably gonna stick with my gold pass. That is unless they start giving you the option between a free FFN ticket or HHN ticket for Platinum though. Call me crazy for this, but I do wonder if an intensity rating (similar to Knott's for rides) could end up being used for the event's houses and stuff. I know it'd help me at least. XP

I didn't know they had multiple scaremonies. Are they hourly? Granted I'd probably only see them from a distance if I had the chance.

1. Just to avoid confusion, is that implying an AP can be used as a 2PM Combo ticket if you buy Early Access? Pretty sure the site says APs don't work for HHN admission.
2. Damn, I would have loved to see that. The mental image of a scary character seeing Art as a bigger threat sounds hilarious.
3. Which store? Upper lot I presume?

Just saw a post on the Facebook group from an employee who allegedly works at the park and had a meeting with management. Apparently After 11PM Express will not be sold for the remainder of the event’s run. Thought I would put that out there for anyone banking on that for their gameplan. Sounds like they really oversold express this year (Which sounds about right).
