I think the "Best Of" idea for Stranger Things would be the best way to do it - but something tells me Netflix will want a focus on season 5.

I'll be fine with the house being based on Season 5 if they impressed me the way they did when they made the mindflayer puppet in the 2019 house, I thought the starcourt mall scene was just such a cool move and the tall puppet looked so gnarly, who says they can't replicate that with the new house for the finale or leading up to the finale.

Are we still going with the Lagoon Show theme being "the best of Stranger Things" while the house would be based on Season 5?

Or did the speculation for the Lagoon Show theme change?

I feel like that had to be a rumor, making the Lagoon Show entirely based on ST, I feel like is a true waste, if they were gungho on doing that before, why not do something like this for 2018/2019, at least for 2018 because the 2019 show was really peak and shouldn't need to be touched in any way. I can't see them going for another ip lagoon show but maybe another icon lagoon show with Jack, Oddfellow and the other icons? Carnage Factory was good and yes the show also featured ips but they don't really have to go that route this year, they could do a good montage of the 34 years of the event featured in with some vignettes of each icon, alas something similar to maybe Sweet 16: Director's Cut minus the ip montage and of course it featuring the Carnival of Nightmares.

The rumor was always that a Stranger Things segment would be featured in a lagoon show, but somehow that has been widely misinterpreted as the lagoon show being fully themed to ST.

alright so that makes a lot better sense, if that is possible then the ips being back in the lagoon show tying into the Jack and Oddfellow's Carnival of Nightmares, then I guess the show could be similar to Carnage then with Jack and Oddfellow popping in and out during each respective ip, here's to Ozzy being featured fingers crossed and if Hellraiser is featured that's gonna be even cooler to me.

The "best of" Stranger Things requests keep coming up between this thread and the USH thread and i feel the need to (again) remark that Season Five WAS a "best of" season, in itself. We're already getting that, y'all. lol

S1 Instead of Will getting abducted, Holly gets abducted. Instead of the Byer's House with the Demo, we get the Turnbow House with the Demo.
S2 Instead of Hawkins Lab with the Dogs, we get the Hospital with the Dogs - bonus points if they choose to re-use the tunnels like S5. Instead of the original Hawkins Lab, we get the Hawkins Lab in the Upside Down - or even the NEW lab in the Upside where a lot of scenes with Hopper(that tentacle fight tho) and Eleven take place.
S3 Instead of fighting a big gnarly monster at StarCourt Mall, we fight a big gnarly monster in the Abyss/Dimension X.
S4 Instead of Vecna in the Creel House (present) with teenager kids, we get Vecna in the Creel House (past) with Holly and younger kids - bonus points if they choose to reuse Vecna's lair a la "Running Up that Hill." Instead of the Russian Base with a Demo outbreak, we have the MAC-Z with a Demo outbreak.
The bones are already there for a pretty solid house, imo.

I can see the house opening with the Radio Station facade, going into the Wheeler house for Holly's abduction, maybe even get the bathroom or kitchen scene with Karen, then move to Turnbow house, then move to Vecna's mind lair or Creel House (past), then move to the MAC-Z Demo fight for Will's powers, then move to new Upside Down labs for Hopper and Eleven and the melting room with Jonathan and Nancy, then move to the Dogs in the hospital with Robin and Lucas, then move to the finale to fight Vecna in the Abyss, where we will absolutely get Joyce chopping his head off. That's already 10 or so scenes, so the outline is already pretty close to all the other Stranger Things houses we've already seen.

Season 5, at it's best, is just the best parts of all other seasons shoehorned into a smaller kinda lackluster box. This is truthfully Season Five's ONLY redeeming quality about being turned into a house this year; We're bound to hit the same vibes from stuff we've already seen from other ST houses with a new coat of paint and older looking characters. The bonus for Universal is that they won't have to cast adults to play kids or teens anymore, now they can cast adults to play adults playing kids - just like season 5 did!

I gave up doing homework

If they cannot convey to me what is going on clearly without any prior knowledge, they did not write a good treatment

Admittedly, I automatically watch a lot of movies/shows so oftentimes I have seen what they announce well before announcement

I hadn’t watched Ash vs Evil Dead at the time of release (even though I was interested, I just didn’t have time) and that house didn’t make a lick of sense. Once I watched the series, I understood the scenes they chose, but it still wasn’t a cohesive house

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire was such a fun house and I had never seen the movie (and still haven’t)

The HW is part of the fun!! I usually have already seen the movies the IPs are about and I just rewatch that movie.

With Ash vs. Evil Dead, it felt like it was breaking the fourth wall a lot which is kinda Ash Williams thing that would happen, the house sorta went in and out of the seasons it was hard to remember much aside from the mortuary season, bar scene and of course cabin are what I remembered from the show. The Walking Dead, the settings were more familiar than anything lol, this season has some good memorable scenes but I feel like they're gonna be executed in the same fashion were expect them to be especially after seeing how they did the last house.

I'm sure just a coincidence, but with ST5 thought to be the planned announcement today, it's a fun coincidence to see MBB at Universal Orlando lol

One can only hope even though it could be this years' themed food booth area that it'd be for a mini scarezone in the spot or something.

I wonder if the Simpsons deal will be (or has been) worked out soon enough to get Krusty in the clown zone.
Selman mentioned 26 might be happening to a small degree and that would be it.
He seemed to be talking about the west coast, but unless an "east of the Mississippi" or whatever deal is in place, I don't see why it wouldn't happen on both coasts.

Most likely for the food both area near there or the lagoon show.
