I would pay very real money to go into the prop warehouse, I can't imagine how chaotic it is in there lol

Sucks that it’s looking like Stranger Things is back and coming instead of IT. I just hope that this is the last Stranger Things house for like… ever

I've always wanted to do a supercharged version of Behind The Screams (see a makeup tent, maybe watch a character get done at HMU stage right before a RIP tour to end the day). Kind of like Disney's all-day Backstage Magic tour. This would be awesome for that.

I hope they go The Walking Dead route and make the last house a best-of house that tries to up the scares.

Two very basic questions:

1) What is the current, best-guess-based-on-evidence, IP lineup? EDB, Stranger Things, and… still HR and Sinners? Is there a fifth?

2) Which years are considered “Jack” years? We have 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2015, and 2021, right?

Jack is, as was mentioned, a familiar horror archetype that doesn’t need much explanation and can be easily dropped in any years event. I’d argue that while most HHN icons are less immediately understood, the Caretaker is just as familiar an archetype as Jack and should be used more frequently.

Your count is basically right, barring a few important caveats: Jack was a co-anchor of 2006 (equal billing with Caretaker, Director, and Storyteller), he was not as prominently featured in 2010 marketing (for better or worse, Fear was the icon, with the others as supporting players), and he's made several other appearances throughout the years that didn't warrant marketing (i.e. his role in 2004's "Horror Nights Nightmares" house, his hosting of the 2005 "Rat Run," etc).

I do agree with you on The Caretaker, as do A&D, who apparently have tried to feature him again - to no avail.

It's bad enough he's in Vegas when it should've been Lady Luck's 2nd chance

Wow. I never thought about that. Does seem like a huge miss to not have Lady Luck featured in a Vegas house.

As someone who didn't start going until 2019, Jack holds no nostalgia for me and just feels like a generic and forgettable clown (please don't stone me), so when there are so many far more interesting icons they could use, it definitely feels like a bummer for them to likely use Jack again. Regardless if he's there for the OGs or for the new people to learn about him, I just didn't find him interesting in the slightest.

My first HHN was Carnival of Carnage. So Jack was the epitome of HHN for me. Even with that being said, I agree with your point I would like some more icons to be utilized. Give Eddie a year. Give Cindy a year. Figure out a way to get the rights and bring back Bloody Mary. Or possibly even expand on her lore and do a new story with Dr. Mary Agana. They teased some new lore to the Storyteller in the Icons house. Give a Director/Usher team up year. I would love to see some of the other icons get a spotlight.

Glad to see my favorite icon the Caretaker getting some love from people other than me. Though in all seriousness it's probably for the best that they don't use him again because, if we ever get to have a Screamhouse again, and not just a few rooms in a compilation/retrospective house, I'll probably have to sell a few organs on the black market to get to see it before I die xD
