Well, I would consider that, but, unfortunately, Tuesdays are one of only two days I have to be in my office. I have meetings all morning on Tuesdays, so that would not work - especially with the time difference. I never call off, so I don't even feel bad about it. I'm just making a mental note to be "sick" next week, just in case. If one is not prepared, devastation can ensue.

Would it help if I told you that it is very unlikely there will be Express with multi-night tickets? At least from everything I'm hearing.

Those will honestly be the only things that you would need to be online ASAP for.

What you're hearing and what the truth is may be different things. I'd rather be ready. And @Jake S , you are correct, sir.

Not all of us "hope this is the case", in fact, I suspect that wish hits a minority.

Hardcore lurker here... what's the read on this whole multi-night express saga? I've been on and off the forums the past few months, but the past two years as an attendee with a multi-night ticket, but without express, have been quite a step down in experience from prior years with express being "easy" to get. I missed the ~15 minutes last year I should've been ready to buy, and it was a focal point of my HHN season...and now I'm wondering how we even got here? Requesting a TLDR for this situation, expectation, and likelihood of express disappearing from the Multi-Night Tickets?

(Yes its expensive, no you don't "need" it, but this whole event is a fun *optional* thing. BUT multiple 90 minute waits a night just aint it once you hit anything north of 30 LOL. I got work in the morning...)

Victim of its own popularity combined with a low ticket prices for what you get vs à la carte. Frequent Fear went from trying to get guests back in to buy alcohol to a “cheat” for the event. Universal should make a more Flexible Fear ticket to cover these edge cases like you and @hunnylvr

(I’m all for the fear passes but flex should be the only one with an add on express option)

I, personally, don't see Uni giving up such an easy cash cow. Others believe differently. No one is 100% either way, so we wait.

I think we all get it by now.

My plan/hope was to get ROF w/ express, and only doing 4 nights.

I think I'll have to take the plunge on just doing 3 nights instead of my planned 4 if that's the case, buying individual night express passes, which will set us back an extra £300-500 for the 2 of us and that's with losing a night. Coming from the UK it just saves a lot of time to do other things having express.

I just don't want to do the above and then a week or so later they do release the express variant as that's $400-$600 spending wasted for us then, quite a chunk.

I'd happily pay that extra mind if they hiked the prices a lot, as the freedom would be there for us.

HHN passes with express have been a "Buy once, Cry once" for Locals, It's spendy, but it unlocks a hobby for almost a quarter of the year.

I just know personally if I'm spending the same amount of cash for a handful of nights with express versus the season, I'm surely not going to spend as much on merch, food, and alcohol in that time frame. I can normally try all the food and drink because I'm there over a dozen times in a season, and that revenue adds up.

I can't hit the F&B booths, the shows, and the houses while also waiting in a standby line most the night. the "HHN Math" of it starts to fall apart for idiots like me. This also doesn't factor in the issues of express potential sell-out nights for a group of attendees that would typically have access to the entire event run. I'm an impulse attendee because I can typically go whenever that impulse hits. I just foresee alot more people like me *NOT* blowing a bunch of money over time at the event due to the potential ticket constraints and limited number of nights compared to seasons past.

Fully understand, as a local, I contribute to whatever problem Universal is trying to mitigate, but I don't think the golden handcuffs are as tight around Universal's wrist as people like to make it out to be.

Feel free to flame me, but i feel like we gotta kill express completely and just do StandBy with RIP tours cutting in if this is the path we're walking down...Operationally it would be smoother atleast?

Appreciate the discussion, and none of this will matter soon! (Woe is me, my hobby is too popular, thanks for attending my TedTalk.)

Here's what I'll say: We can talk about why the math doesn't math (or does) until the cows come home, but Universal has more raw data and information than we do, period. I suspect that, whatever they decide, it'll be based on more comprehensive analysis (and incorporate factors that we may be discounting or omitting entirely) than what anyone here can accomplish.

Agreed 1000% - For clarity, there's definitely a Boy/Girl Math meme edge to my "HHN Math" comment. My wife, and wallet would be a lot happier if I only went one night in standby anyway... we talk ourselves into whatever "Value" we can justify in the community.

I think a lot of us would truly love to see that data and those figures... Be cool Universal... show us them spreadsheets...

At the end of the day, UO isn't going to eliminate a lucrative revenue stream. It might look different, but something else will be coming in to replace those funds based off what they model.

Yeah - the unfortunate/fortunate thing is that Universal isn't going to just willingly stop making money that they were already making. If they think they'll make more money without the Express add-on, that's what they'll do.

EDIT: @MAC beat me to it lol

Yeah, this is honestly the best option.

Have a multi night ticket where you're limited to, say, 10 nights. Whether those nights have to be reserved or you can just show up whenever - it would be better for people who travel and go to HHN for several nights over the course of a trip.

Honestly, a ~10 night pass with express option would be stellar for a lot of people.

Beggar and Chooser here, I know operationally you cant have a large swath of ticket holders that could randomly show up, but a "come any X number of days during the event" without needing to book them in advance, would actually be my ideal ticket option... Let me get a punch card too, I wanna see my nights slip away :lmao:

I thought they used to have something similar to this? Or was it only for admission but no Express?

From what I've gathered Frequent Fear holders, as a group, do not buy as much as single day ticket holders. Lots of locals come, use Express, and leave which isn't a good experience for single Express holders or those in stand-by.
