Hahahaha. Well, we did know we were getting Mel's and club horror. Looks like no DJ Pord tho. RIP Pumpkin Lord

DCC looks awesome though!

I have been told that there is a strong possibility Pumkin Lord will be present at HHN this year, possibly in Hollywood Zone. :(

What is the guess of Express being open at 2? I would NOT use mine. I'm just curious if they don't want ANY express bogging down the 2 to 4:30 lines, OR, they WANT people using up express early before the regular crowd shuffles in.

You wouldn't believe (well, maybe this group would) the number of people I have seen use single use express at open when the houses were walk-ons (or would it be walk-ins)

LOL! "Old age".. dude, you're 40. I've got 19 years on you and still push it until at least 1am. :) Though, I'm practically dead by then, so there's that.

Yeah, but 4 boys adds 10 years (per child). So I'm really 80.

I don’t think people will line up for them hours in advance, most SS people dont seem to show up for HHN until 3-4 and I doubt most of them be able to get there earlier

Didn't wristbands start getting passed out around 3? I remember seeing lines from Minion Cafe wrapped past Today Cafe at like 2:30.

While I will probably do a few early house runs if the waits are low - something feels fundamentally wrong about doing 1/3 of the houses in broad daylight at 2PM

It's sort of the ultimate culmination of a metamorphosis that started a decade and a half ago--the transformation from an atmospheric Halloween party that happens to have some cool haunted houses to an embrace of the "stand in line > ride the ride > exit through the gift shop" model pioneered by 2000s Disney.

I certainly hope so! Ozzy might just be my most anticipated this year…like everyone else has said, how do you NOT announce this one on Ozzy Day? Here’s hoping!

You hit the nail on the head, SeventyOne!!! I remember distinctly feeling like HHN was a big, fun Halloween party when I first started attending 2008-2011. It's lost that vibe to a degree in the 2020s.

I realize I'm in the minority, but I'm sure there's a lower percentage of guests like me that only go to HHN infrequently, but more for the 'vibes' of the event than wanting to do a lot of houses. We're happy to experience the fog, projections on the buildings, sets and street scare shows. If we do two or three houses, that's fine enough. The early stay and scream is perfect for us. Besides trying to reschedule away from yet another of the zillion Orlando Informer meetups, the 2:00 start for Stay & Scream is a reason I changed our vacation schedule to include HHN this year. HHN had gotten too crowded for us, and I expect this to spread the crowd around a bit.

Hot Take: The only "vibes" in the event that's changed is it's way way WAY less bro-y than before.

It's one of the elements of it that's a ton of fun. Looking at the production design, people watch, experience the ambience. That's why I'm happy to do the Stay & Scream earlier to experience the houses, determine what's worth going through it again, and enjoy the actual event and spend time in the scarezones, find a table and watch people, etc. When I was younger, that was the highlight for me. Just being immersed.
