I'm assuming that their deal with Coke would prevent that from happening.

Here's what they should do (I'm joking because I know it's too late but lmao): put Coke in a souvenir bottle that says "Nuka Cola" (can put "presented by Coca Cola' or something in the tagline or whatever they need to do legally) and there, compromise.

Coke is already in the middle of a huge collab with Star Wars and I'm sure Disney's contracts have clauses against doing deals with competitors or other franchises at the same time.

ahh, yes I see it looks like Jones Soda has a copyright to it. Ugh.

They actually don't.

The trademark for Nuka-Cola (and other Fallout brands) is owned by ZeniMax Media, Bethesda's parent company (and now a Microsoft subsidiary).
Jones Soda simply licenses Nuka-Cola and Quantum/Victory/Grape to use.

So, since it's not an issue of Jones having exclusive use, I have a different take on why we may not see the plain, iconic Nuka-Cola.

It's the bottling.

That iconic rocket shaped bottle has been impossible/impractical for either Bethesda, Jones or other licensees to recreate in a food safe material. And let's be honest, no one is wanting "Nuka-Cola" as just a regular plastic cup of Coke. The expectation is if Nuka-Cola comes to HHN, it comes in souvenir form. Universal knows that and since they can't meet that expectation.....you wind up with the Fallout Nuka-Cola mocktails.

Jones could have an agreement where they’re the only ones allowed to license it for a beverage.

Anyway, if no Nuka Cola comes then I think we’ll quickly see the full service bars fill in with off menu items. I could see Finn’s offering a cherry vodka soda with some mix ins to create it for example.

So, the way the article frames it, the interviewer explicitly asked about the possibility of Scream, and Lara gave a smartly positive but non-committal answer. She’s basically saying, “We love the IP. We’d love to have it.” Lara didn’t bring up the IP. Entertainment Weekly did. As a result, I wouldn’t read too much into that.

Regarding the Murdy/Aiello “secret project” chatter, Murdy is too much of a shameless self-promoter to really read too much into what it could be. Sure, it could be a White Whale… but they wouldn’t draw attention to an IP they haven’t secured yet in case they don’t secure it. Considering both of their talents and interest, it could also be some sort of show script, an original shared house concept (Jack vs. Hollywood Harry?), or something else entirely.

If my wife reads that Terrifier house description she probably won’t go on it. The hacksawing private parts and bleach are no problem. Having a feces smell “stick to you “ is a no go.

Yeah I'm going to assume it's going to be a poop show and that it's only an issue this year. That exit path is already tight with the music plaza queue in the way and everybody waiting for restrooms... so I don't know.
