I think the Venn Diagram of people who'd be excited for a Romero house and people who already go to HHN every year no matter the IP houses would be close to a perfect circle. (And yes, I'd personally love a black & white Night of the Living Dead house.)

On the flip side, I've encountered FN@F merch just browsing Target for years now. One of those IPs that has transcended its source material--the IP itself is what's marketed now. Anytime you have something the normies recognize like that, it seems to blow up at the event.

i always see five nights at Freddy's merch on clearance, no one wanted it lol :lmao:

Nope.

@Legacy do you have any new information or backstory of toy haunted house coming to the event this year

It’s forgotten toys making sure they’re remembered by any means necessary.

Take Woody from Toy Story (or Jessie… or Lotso…) and make them murderous against humans instead of other toys. There’s your house.

Scream V made $81,641,405 domestically and $137,743,924 worldwide.

Scream VI made $108,391,107 domestically and $166,577,232 worldwide.

FNAF (which came out the same year) made $137,275,620 domestically and $291,493,620 worldwide.

So FNAF basically made domestically what Scream V made worldwide. Both Scream movies combined made only $12,827,536 more than FNAF on its own. Numbers seem to indicate FNAF has the broader appeal. And I’m saying this as a huge Scream fan. It is one of, if not my favorite horror franchise of all time.

While i agree with your points, you also have to realize one of these movies was PG-13. With others being R rated, which limits your audience. If Scream was PG-13 then you could compare apples to apples and maybe it would meet or exceeded FNAF numbers. Just IMO.

A return of 1996's "Toy Hell: Nightmare in the Scream Factory" house?

Explore an abandoned toy factory and quickly learn the ancient, terrifying secret held within... the toys are alive and in no mood for company.

Guests visit an abandoned toy factory in New York where they find that, 50-years later, the toys have come alive, and the toy maker, Old Man Nazarman, has the knack for capturing guests and making them into toys.

Not a factory, but a new Toy Hell would be a fun throwback.

I'm still betting the Thursday announcement is Terrifier. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but that's just what I think

Pretty sure it's going to be an Orlando inspired original- "Terror on Church Street: Resurrected" or "Skull Kingdom: The Curse Has Awakened"

The FNAF announcement is making rounds on Twitter outside of the standard haunt/horror spheres of influence

Fun fact: for the game Dead by Daylight, the most requested franchise of all time (and its not even close) was FNAF, which is being added in a few weeks

Stranger Things didn't have a decade plus to cultivate a fanbase. The reaction to an announcement for an announcement is unparalleled - this is going to be big.

Look, it’ll be big - but we gotta pump the brakes on the hyperbole.

That announcement was awkward as frick.

“Five Nights at Friday is coming”

“Oh, in what way? A house?”

“A whole new way.”

“Why are you like this?”

I hope all the hyperbole is real because an IP I don't care about in the slightest soaking up half the crowds from all the other houses is a dream scenario lol

100% the same. I hope that this house and Fallout are mediocre, but eat up all the crowds.

That way, I can hit them once and then enjoy lower lines from the less in demand houses.

I've never understood the idea of hoping that 10-20% of the houses are bad lol

I didn't say bad. I said mediocre.

Basically, I hope that they're just good enough that people that are in to the franchises enjoy the hell out of them; but are only worth one or two run-throughs (based on wait times) for me.

Personally, I hope every single house at the event is great.

I hate Terrifier passionately but I hope the house manages to be a banger lol
