You say that as if it's a good thing. It really isn't. Universal puts in the bare minimum.

I mean, what more would you want to see in the runup to announcements?
The days of the cryptic HHN websites with their ARGs and flash games are unfortunately dead and buried and they aren't coming back.

Seems there’s a rumor that the express option may not be available as an add on to ROF or FFP. It may be available only for single night purchase.

People say this every year and it never comes to fruition. I doubt this happens and if it does... very stupid choice. That's all I'll say.

And yet… they decreased the option to the extent it sold out in an hour last year.

All I'll say is it's about time. I say that as someone who purchased multi-night tickets with Express up until last year.

If this were to come to pass, I strongly believe it would make things better for everyone.

I agree with @Clive, It’s about time. I also say that as someone who would get FFP w/express and being one of the crazy ones who got on right away last year and spent about $1200 for UFFP w/Express.

You really don’t need express if you’re getting and miultinight pass. Even if you don’t get everything done in one night, you have a pass that lets you go again.

It's a great idea and a much needed rebalancing of Express ratios.

The GP responds well to it. That’s why they keep doing it.

Seriously, the fans are an extremely minor consideration in everything they do. It will make everything more enjoyable if you remember that.

TBH last year I would say was but not if they get rid of it. Last year resulted in man upset guest, GP and fans. Epically with the fact we got no heads up. While this year if they don’t offer it at all some will still be upset but it will also result in more money for universal.

Seriously.

Express is just a separate line with a special tax when that many people have access to it. The only time Express is even beneficial to the people who bought it is if OPs are absolutely screwing over the peasants (I'm peasants)

Agreed. Express has just got way too popular. Everyone about has it nowadays. So express isn’t express.

Then just get rid of express then. That solves everything, no express and everyone has to wait in the same line. They won't do it of course but still.

Express is a luxury, so it's fine for a single night since you're paying $200 (and I'm sure Universal is happy with that profit). Plus, Universal can prepare and manage accordingly.

When you make it a part of the FFP, that value for Universal drops dramatically. Even with the limited sale and price increase last year, you can still get an FFP Plus with Express for $21/visit (If you have visited all 40 nights). Even if you go half the number of nights, that's $42/visit. There's also the guessing game part of expected capacities.

It's why I've been thumping this possibility the last few years, because it always seemed on the horizon.

When I go, typically on Thursdays, it really makes a difference. Takes about a third of the time posted. Sometimes less. I won’t go back to non-express unless I have multiple nights.

Express is a premium that allows people the ability to have a better experience. As someone who stumbled on using it for 2022 in Hollywood; and then came back and had both nights be express for 2024 in Hollywood--it has it's benefits and it has it's uses.

Simply getting rid of express wouldn't make the problem go away, infact it'd probably make it worse.

With the lineup having as many heavy hitters as you can get; I actually think I get why Orlando finally pulled the trigger this year.
