Nah, I get it. I even said multiple times before in prefacing that I knew it was unlikely and a big stretch, but some people still feel the need to try to "act" big to feel something. It just reminded me why I only come to these threads like every few months but it's cool. I'm sure this reply will be filled with more "laugh" emoji reactions so it is what it is. It was a simple statement of fact, and it might have been short and to the point, but I've made very long arguments for people calling for Terrifier (which made less than $1m) and Terrifier 2 (made like $5m). It took Terrifier 3 flirting with $100m worldwide for it to allegedly make it to the event.

Same with the annual arguments for *EDIT* Demon Slayer *EDIT* or whatever. Sure, it made over $100m world wide, but 95% of the money was in Asian markets and didn't make much of anything in the US. It has a rabid US fanbase, but a small one. If it was going to appear at HHN, it would be at one of the Asian parks.

So I just truncated my annual explanation for why a niche IP isn't going to come to the event, but, hey, if you want to take it as me being a snob and trying to feel like a big man, knock yourself out.

EDIT: just signed back on to see what April Fools shenanigans transpired and saw my hilarious Dragonslayer typo...can you tell I'm a child of the 80's?

As far as Icons - if the intent this year is to go big, combining an already-established icon with several big IPs would certainly be another way to do it.

Check my math, but I believe this is a tie for the longest we've gone without Jack since his introduction in 2000.

I would agree. When I originally saw the film reel strips with the blood from them, my mind immediately went to Director or Usher. But that clue is on both spec maps, so it probably is IP related.

Again, I went the conspiracy theory route that Aiello helped to create Usher, so he might have an interest in bringing him back. And maybe that idea still can happen, but the film strips probably is not what that means.
