This year.

I’m not thinking that hard about next year.

This isn’t to say I don’t expect a Blumhouse property to appear. I just don’t expect Horrors of Blumhous3.

Considering it’s a sequel to a Blumhouse movie, I consider HDD2U more likely than Us.

I just can’t see a HDD2U house, especially one on its own.

I feel like this could be a hint or mean something, but its likely just over exuberant speculation brain...

Though you do mention 10 years a lot in that post and 2009 had some decent horror IPs, Friday the 13th being one...

Pump the brakes, kiddo. According to our resident master Yoda aka @Legacy you've gotta be at least 11 and, like, Regina George levels of popular since birth to ride that ride.

Do you consider solo HDD2U more likely than a HoBH3?

Legacy has stated earlier that KKFOS isn’t a sure thing.

Eh, it's hope that an R-rated horror movie that doesn't already have a built-in audience (It) can be profitable.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, scary is subjective.

What scares you doesn’t necessarily scare everyone, and what scares someone else doesn’t automatically mean it’s gonna scare you.

Fair enough, I have a lot of problems with the movie, but my #1 problem is that aside from the initial invasion, it lacks any scares. Hill House and Hereditary both got me horribly, so I suppose I'm not totally immune to horror.

I mean, it's not like this movie is an out-of-the-blue success. It was incredibly heavily marketed and the director's last movie (also a sort of horror film) was nominated for best picture...it's not totally surreal that it did this well. I do understand the significance of how well it did without being tied to an IP, which is great (more mainstream original ideas in Hollywood please) but it's not all that surprising.

Yeah, I never understood people outright saying a movie isn't scary. Horror is subjective just like all entertainment. Some people don't find spiders scary...the rest of us are standing on chairs, waving newspapers and screaming at it to leave.

Quite correct. I generally don't find The Exorcist to be very scary.
