My only question is how they got the marketing image for ST2 this early

I was scrolling past that image for the last few hours since it's been up wondering if I was going mad because it looked so good. I thought I was about to be called an idiot.

It...does put some oddity into those other "predictions" now. Especially the other two that also got deleted for some reason.

Welp, whether this all ends up leading to something or not, people have wanted some kinda spark in the spec. Here ya go.

The thing that stuns me most now is that fact that was up for a good eight hours apparently and I was the only person willing to toss out the possibility of "Hey, this looks a little odd don't it?".

Too true; the image of the Shadow Monster staring over the Universal ball looked too good to be fan art.

Honestly after Carnival Graveyard I really wanted to see HHN tackle Rob Zombie due to how much CG felt like a Rob Zombie movie. House of 1000 Corpses could be really good though. Tell you what though if we get Hellraiser(my guess for Drill), HotC, and Leave it to Cleaver this year is gonna be a gore fest

I'm a little surprised Leave it to Cleaver and House of 1000 Corpses would apparently appear together in the same year... seems to be a lot of overlap in that sort of Hillbilly Hell/Small Town Terror subgenre. But, 2013 gave us two cabins in the woods right next to each other, so what do I know...

I'm a little surprised Leave it to Cleaver and House of 1000 Corpses would apparently appear together in the same year... seems to be a lot of overlap in that sort of Hillbilly Hell/Small Town Terror subgenre. But, 2013 gave us two cabins in the woods right next to each other, so what do I know...

House of 1000 Corpses in general is a curveball. It makes sense logically but of all the cult classics it was not the one I think would show up in 29

I'm in this weird state now where I don't wanna confirm anything mentally that is not ST2 (for increasingly obvious reasons) but the promo art with the deleting of the other tweets is really boggling me now.

What happened with the tweet I didn’t see it!? What did it say!?

It was blatantly the Stranger Things 2 marketing image for HHN29, under the guise of a "prediction". It looked way too good to be fan-made.

It was deleted along with two other "predictions" (???) for LI2C and HOTC.

Now this might just be my spec running wild but wouldn’t it be ironic if the tweets that were deleted ended up being similar to last year’s order of the first 3 announcements.

2018: Stranger Things, Dead Exposure(original requel), Trick ‘r Treat(cult classic)

and then potentially: 2019: Stranger Things 2, Leave it to Cleaver(original requel), House of 1000 Corpses(cult classic)

Technically if you account the Pre-06 version and 2010 / 11, it would be 4th.

Since I wasn't at HHN 19, wasn't Leave it to Cleaver more of a demented spoof of Leave it to Beaver with a idyllic town and townsfolk that's a wee bit too happy to send everyone to the slaughterhouse? I'm not seeing the similarities to a film which is a grindhouse-style blender of twisted urban legends, a f'd up backwoods family of killers and Doctor SATAN.

Either way, LitC sounds right up my alley and I personally enjoyed HoTC, so if both come to the event, that's double the good news for me! Also, if both do end up confirmed, it's a good counter to the very silly discussion that HHN is somehow family friendly since both of those houses are far from it.

Kinda sorta - but I think Fallow's point was the whole "unassuming area/town harbors dark, sinister secret" trope. They are different enough in setting to get away with it, IMO.

Honestly... House of 1000 Corpses could be really good in a Sprung Tent. Like I mean could be potentially terrifying and beautiful. Start off on the Murder Ride and then transition to the Firefly House like Halloween did in 24, and then go in there until maybe 1-2 finale scenes in the caves with Doctor Satan. They could probably even reuse stuff from 2006’s Dungeon of Terror for the first couple of rooms since that house seemed loosely based of HotC and literally anything from the TCM houses for the Firefly House.

Also connection to “Chicken” is the commercial at the beginning of the movie where Captain Spaulding advertises the fried chicken and Murder Ride

I dunno... Both sides of that argument may be getting some combination punches in the battle.
