Lol, that is the problem with these letters, are they for the idea as a single word, or for the whole title (cucuy vs el cucuy).

Cucuy and Chupacabra are kind of similar are they not? Boogeyman kind of creature that is animal like, former being bird like and latter being lizard like?

The chupacabra is basically a lizard dog that shoots poison and attacks people. I don't really see that being a house unless they reskin the AWIL wolves (which would be incredible BTW) but yeah that pesky Spanish "the" lol. I'd personally be fine if orlando made a el cucuy maze, Spanish and Mexican myths have been a part of my life since I was a baby and I actually wrote a script featuring cucuy, la llorona and the chupacabra. I would be a very happy if this came a reality

I foresee us not having anything that Hollywood has done in the past.. Maybe one thing but we done it in the past too but unofficial

I wonder which Halloween series they would base the house off of? Zombie's spent a fair amount of time at the asylum and we already know they have done those sorts of sets in the past, but the original is more iconic and that tends to be what HHNO likes to go for.

Didn't they already make a house based on the original movie in Hollywood? I can see Halloween happening I just find it hard to believe that that's the "big character house". I'm going to go with Brian and Drew's guesses of "they live" or "hellraiser". Hellraiser was already a part of ultimate die in 2 so they could easily reuse props and costumes from that if they still have them

I feel like apart from vampires, most horror is beings coming into a place where they were not invited. Watch, now they will make a vampire house to wipe away any chance of that loose thematic connection.

Lol there are actually rumors of a vampire house floating around, hopefully they don't invade another club. But yeah, all horror movies are like that but these are more literal home invasion. I see a connecting thread like they did for "urban legends" and "luck" for 18 and 21. Might just be me but you never know

Yeah, I had heard about the possible vampire house.
I thought the tying together of 21 was almost too loose to even count, but 19 did an especially good job of tying all the houses together. We were walking into movies, simple yet effective. That and you did not need to go do all the online games/activities or the lights on tour to figure it out.
I would love them to make something that is thematically easy for anyone to grasp (like 19) but with online games/activities that deepen the backstory (like 18).

Seriously, I've never played the online games and I've read the backstories through the website and the UTHT. Something like this needs to be brought back. Added a ton of depth to something that could've just been a bland series of houses. 18 was my favorite examples though, the story was optional but you could easily tell all of the themes were legends and if you did want to go deeper the story was worth the read. I'll say it Bloody Mary is the best icon in the events history, house aside she was awesome

I miss the over the top websites but those are in the past.. Hopefully TJ and Rick can connect stuff this yr but it gets harder and harder each yr.. We just gotta wait and see...

Last yr the slogan and theme made since with the original plans for the streets but soon changed when marketing wanted TWD streets.

Keep in mind marketing helps coming up with the theme each yr.

You're not really supposed to figure it out. Once you know them, it is difficult to see why they were even chosen.

Yeah, I remember the Chucky character roles in 2009 were Pinocchio so I understand the gist. I just remember there being a Shot Heard Round the World clue so I figured that was either a house codeword or the codeword would be Revolutionary War (or Revolutionary, Revolution, etc).
