I mean, they’re not gonna go “then the year after that and the year after that.” Simpsons isn’t long for Universal Studios, but I think it’ll be there for at least another 5 years… for now.

New HHN merch now available at the Citywalk store! Strangely, as of yesterday, none of this was available either in the main Universal Store at Citywalk, nor the main Studio Store in the park. I was hearing it may be available in the lower lot Production Central, but I didn't check for myself.

Also, Little Europe decor has arrived.

So Ive never been to Hollywood. This will be my first year and im honestly mainly coming for killer klowns and tram but I'm curious as to any tips, tricks, or opinions anyone has for me. Whats the recommended like path or attack plan. Are the originals good or is the Latin America stuff overdone? Just generally curious but I'm looking forward to it!!

If you can afford it, I highly recommend just getting Express and not sweating about strategy. I'd predict you'd still have moderate waits for Hellraiser, Terror Tram, and Stranger Things but you'll get everything done. Otherwise, be prepared to spend several hours in lines. It's looking to be a crowded year.

Regardless, it's best to work through either the entire upper lot and then the lower lot or vise versa (Killer Klownz will be on the lower lot). The Terror Tram closes early every night so make sure you're not saving it for last.

We're tired of the Latin America stuff because this is our fifth year in a row of it, but coming into it fresh it'll be fun for you.

Likewise, I'm very tired of the Purge show coming back for a fourth season, but it's a good stunt show and if it isn't crowded you should be able to get a good seat. Worth doing if you have the time.

The food has traditionally been not great imo but it was better last year and the Treehouse of Horror possibilities are intriguing. Wait and see on reviews. Three Broomsticks on the Upper Lot and Panda Express (yes, there's just a full Panda Express) on the Lower Lot are my go tos for reliably solid food.

Are the lines worse or like same as orlando usually. I attend there every year and am very used to waiting hours. Just wanted to make sure I would still be able to get stuff done without Express

If you don't get Express, there's no promises. It can be rough getting everything done, unless you really follow the strategies and expect to spend the entire night, and wait in many long lines.

If you can't afford Express, at least spring for Early Entry... that will help a little. And be in the park before Early Entry even starts, because people will already be lining up inside the park at least 30 min before anything even opens.

While I've done Orlando twice before, both times were with either Express or RIP, so can't say for sure how it compares without.

Echoing what others say, Tram does close earlier due to noise ordinances from local neighbors, usually around 11:45 or so. So be sure to get that done before then.

The biggest difference you'll find in Hollywood is the park is literally split in half by a huge series of 4 escalators. You really don't want to be going back and forth up and down them all night, you'll lose a lot of time and energy. That's why we're advising either do upper or lower lots first, so you don't have to keep going back and forth, and this distance between upper and lot lots (as well as a fairly long walk back to the H lot, which is sort of technically an extension of the upper lot) all take more time that you expect.

If you can stay up late, most lines (thought not all, popular mazes can still be long) will fall off in the last hour or so. Also make time for the Purge show if you can... we locals are kinda bummed because it's a near duplicate for many years going now, but if you're seeing it for the first time, it's quite a hoot with many fun effects. Also a good chance to sit down for a while in a night that otherwise has you standing all night long.

I think you'll find that our sets are not as impressive as Orlando, but I still stand by the fact our scare actors are the best, and really make the event. While they won't touch you (on purpose), they get so insanely close and aggressive, you'll feel like they do!

And if you can spare one night, try to get to Knott's Scary Farm if you can. Not only is a lot more affordable, but it's the grandaddy of haunts, and really has it's own unique vibe. Also, the lines tend to be a LOT shorter, and the compact nature of Knott's makes it much easier to get all their mazes done.

Isn't it much more likely that this is what's coming? Food, maybe some merch and other in-land overlays?

As far as D23 and interviews, this year only food and clips in queue. But next year will have more substantial material, without alot of clarification. I imagine meet and greets and  maybe a 4D experience of that years Treehouse of Horror but that's a stretch imo

Edit; I envision with that 4D experience the dome screen not being used and just a large movie theatre sized projection due to the limited resolution. And of course whatever pre existing scents, splash, and light effects are equipped would be used as the vehicles react to the screen

Can't say I ever foresee them doing anything with the ride itself since it's already about a psychopath trying to kill you in a clown's theme park and it already features Kang and Kodos. You'd color me impressed if they ever went past food/meet n' greets and maybe the queue video changing, as others here have mentioned.

That said, something is better than nothing (-and also better late than never). I am happy to see any Treehouse of Horror representation during HHN outside of the changed area music. I am down to try the Sloppy Joe D'oh.

We had the rumor of the Three House show in Dreamworks....that would be amazing if we even just got that

Stranger things have happened Fortnite made a 12+ mins episode of the show that even went on Disney plus. So maybe if Disney made a deal where its at HHN but then comes to Disney plus later it would make sense for them to do

FYI: My Partner has done more than I have and I only have gone with them so the pathing for the years we've gone are

2023: Started Upper Lot -> Theater -> Tram -> Purge -> Lower Lot (No Express, did half the houses)
2024: Upper Lot -> Tram -> Theater -> Lower Lot -> Purge (Partner's usual routing)
2025: Upper Lot -> Tram -> Lower Lot -> Theater -> Purge (My funky routing)

Their opinion is that due to early access, distance needed to travel, and the fact that usually the best houses are in the lower lot; it makes more sense to them to just be able to bang out the Parisian and UBE houses right off the bat and then mosey our way down to lower lot + soundstages.

2025 was funky due the express lane still having 20 - 30 min wait times and trying not to wimp out of Terrifier
I agree with the takes above that w/o express, there are no promises that you get to everything

Former GA ticketgoer here, now I exclusively only do Express, but look, I rawdogged it for nearly 20 years and I got every maze done every time! Here's my recommendation to you and OP:

You can NOT do this event without Early Access or Express, and even though I have Express, I STILL do Early Access (because if I am paying that much, rest assured I am doing ALL the rides too, dammit! lol)

Do Early Access, hit the lower lot like everyone else but show up even EARLIER than everyone else, be one of the first to hit whatever the biggest maze is, then immediately line up for the second biggest maze (luckily they stagger the opening times). Finish the lower lot before the park officially opens, but if you don't, it's okay, just run back up and hit the Curious George parking lot mazes as the park officially opens. Finish that, hit UBE, Parisian, and Tram (these three in whichever is shortest first) then head back down to lower lot if you missed anything earlier.

General Tips:
- Lower lot is EMPTY the last hour or half hour of the night and if you are lucky, and this is NOT a guarantee, you can marathon everything down there. If you truly are behind and did upper lot first, this is the best time to hit it. Or get your repeats in.
- Do a fast dinner (30 minues or less) somewhere in the park with no line so you don't ruin your gameplan too much. Where do they have no line you ask? Three Broomsticks. It never fails. Always EMPTY with tons of seats. Super fast service. And honestly the best food in the park, it's just off the main strip so people don't think about it.
- It's obvious, but skip the rides, they will be there all year and the mazes won't. You may have someone in your group wanting to do them, but just let them know you can come back anytime to do those.

Besides 3 Brooms sticks what other restaurants are near empty at the event?

The first weekend I'll be going a lot and all night so need some easy places to eat this year

Honestly, it is JUST 3 Broomsticks which is consistently empty. BUT every year, I always get a refill on my sipper cup of Coke since Potterland doesn't have soda, so that means I have to go check out other places before I head over there and it is typically always a new place that I find that just so happens to be empty and one year it will be and the next it won't haha but the few places I've been lucky with are the pizza place, Jurassic Cafe (didn't prefer this, my ice melted by the time I got to the upper lot), and one time the mexican food place across from Potter was somehow randomly empty but filled up with people right after I left.

Actually, I nearly always find Minon Cafe near empty. People often don't even know it's open for the event, and being in the middle of a scare zone, a lot of people don't naturally head that way

Also Minion Cafe is criminally underrated. They have amazing brisket grilled cheese sandwiches.
