Honestly a house about mascots at a theme park becoming killers would be cool as well

Doesn't have to be "real" characters but would be a cool original IP idea

Maybe it's because I'm a rookie but I really find the Chucky vs. Ted overlay on Transformers much more interesting

Sure, April Fools. But you have to admit that a house full of classic cartoon characters that finally snap and murder everyone in a theme park has serious potential. Put Woody Woodpecker in a decayed face mask and decrepit costume, reverse and reverb that laugh, pitch his theme song down, and add a blood red lighting package in an intimate, close quarters house?

That is no laughing matter.

This would be rad. The April Fool's Day stuff is old, but not going to lie, that post was actually kind of brilliant.

I like the idea, though you'd have to be thoughtful to avoid making it feel like another Blood and Honey, Minnie's Midnight Massacre, etc.

There’s a very easy way to do this that pretty much all “mascot” horror has completely avoided throughout the entire lifespan of the concept: ACTUALLY make it accurate to what theme parks/mascots/animatronics look like.

Every time this concept has ever been attempted, they make the characters look ridiculous and completely kill the creepiness factor of actual vintage themed entertainment. It’s so stupid.

we are getting a mascot house though just not in a way you'd expect. If you haven't guessed it, I'm talking about the Jack vs Hollywood Harry maze.

This might be me showing my unc, but isn't FNAF already mascot horror? Just in Chuck-E-Cheese rather than a theme park.

It is, FNAF was the first of its kind where nostalgia was used for horror. I'm not sure if there was an older definition but mascot horror now-in-days is term used for games that use that trope and/or have their main antagonist(s) be extremely marketable for merch like Poppy Playtime, Bendy and the Ink Machine, Hello Neighbor, and countless other examples I'm forgetting there's like 600 of them

How would people feel about HHN Hollywood experimenting more on VQ? As people know we've been close to the mark on VQ happening, as far back as 2023 with it in the USH app--and with it nearly affecting HHN Hollywood last year being contingent on queue logistics for Mummy and Jurassic.

Have to wonder if we are nearing the process for one house to become a virtual queue situation.

I think a virtual queue would be awesome but having it be the only option would be a bit rough in my honest opinion. I could see houses benefitting from not needed to fit a line next to it (if the Waterworld Queue venue were to return and the Jurassic Park queue of course) but it'd get a little rough imo. I think whatever goes into the Jurassic queue maze should just use the Jurassic World line, its not line it ever gets that long anyway

I'd be opposed, the walkways get congested enough as is and the waits for food and merch can already get crazy. We need the lines eating people up.

I love ordering food on my phone at parks but HHN lines?

Without them adding more it would not work well

Normally 2 houses gets 3 hour waits, where are all these people if not in line?

The lower lot last year was already was insane and that’s with people in 4 lines…

I think if you want to test that…do it at fan fest first which has less people to ver an event that sells out the entire park

They always try this, and it never works. The app infrastructure isn't strong enough, and it just upsets guests.
