If Jack the Clown comes back (And i hope he does!) it will have been twenty years since he has been here. Im confident Jack merch will sell.

I want to believe that the fondness for Orlando lore will transfer here, but there was a lot of Lil' Boo on clearance at the end of the season. I'd just be concerned that Jack will go unnoticed and that will reduce the probability that they bring him back. This goes doubly so in a year of heavy hitter IPs, which will soak up the budget and attention. Although lots of IP merch is going to move, people have limited budgets, so Jack merch may be the last thing that people buy.

Also, my experience and discussion with people at Universal Horror Unleashed indicated that people were generally unfamiliar with the character. I hope I'm wrong, but I have my doubts.

I've yet to see an amazing Stanger things house....so for me. I think its a waste of money. You have to pay for the IP and all these effects for a meh house.

Like look at Art the clown's house, it was simple but very fun and FNAF impressed because of the puppets. I know some on here didn't care for them but the lines and people I talked to enjoyed the houses a good deal and think Universal should focus on IPs they know make good houses and wont break the bank for the rest of the event

Also is the event still having the rumor of 9 hours and the tram?

Hey everyone, this may be something. I came to the park today and when I walked in this morning, I went to check out the Studio Store they have as soon as you walk into the park. Something I found very interesting was that in the poster section of the store, they had some very strange things they were selling...

I only bring this up because, from my experience, this store has a weird tendency to sort spoil an HHN property or two a lot of times. (For example, last year, I noticed a couple of F13 posters along with a couple Fallout posters wayyy before they were announced for HHN). Anyways, make of it what you will.

In other words, I guess we can also welcome Jack the Clown to Hollywood since we have our first merch piece featuring him (along with Chance!)

FWIW they sell movie posters that aren’t necessarily Universal movies all the time.

Also I remember they sold Jack vinyls years ago and while they sold well, Jack hasn’t showed up. But we’ll see!

Hopefully I’m not the only one who stared at that first picture for a few seconds too long wondering why they’d be selling a fake crossover poster of Stranger Things and The Godfather.

Finally, at this point, do you really think the event will sell Stranger Things merch after how disappointed with how the series ended? You can argue now people are still talking about the show, but I really don’t think people will care come September.

Remember when you said nobody cared about Stranger Things anymore? And then it became the most watched season premiere, Vol 2 drop and season finale of all time? Remember? LMFAO Maybe leave the guess work on Stranger Things fans behind haha.

Fine, it pulled the numbers, but after how it ended, especially when HHN rolls around, no one will care anymore. Lol

I do think my point still stands though. The only thing I hear discussed from fans was how disappointed or underwhelmed they were

I’m down to 50/50 on if it’ll be here or not. Considering they’re raising the number of houses, I think it’s possible. But yeah, I’m very burnt out on the series at HHN and I have no reason to believe this would be better than any of the other lackluster houses.

As far as the fans go: I also have yet to meet someone who thought the finale was great. I don’t see the series driving crazy merch sales. Decent merch sales maybe, but nowhere close to the peak of the shows popularity. Like, probably on the same level as Fallout merch sales.

I don’t have any hard data to back this up, but that’s my prediction given where we are in culture.

I think Season 5 was the worst Stranger Things season but, outside of some hardcore fans online, it wasn't a Game of Thrones finale situation. It would still do numbers. If it doesn't come I'd assume its more a Netflix thing than an estimation that it'd be a bomb.

Stranger Things 2 in 2019 was pretty panned and it still drew the biggest waits of the events according to thrill data.
