Murdy did say that he was working on treatment for a house next year. It cooooould be that but I doubt it.

I don't think the surprise is Mummy enhancements--if only because I think he would've talked about it by now if he had.

Unrelated to the secret project, but I wonder if we actually get both Murdy and Aiello teasing/hyping the 2026 event. This will be the first time that both coasts will be sharing the opportunity of celebrating anniversaries together following COVID causing things to be shifted in Orlando not celebrating HHN30 until 2021. I could see them both talking on a small level of their approach to what next year will be.

Especially as in the case of Hollywoods--we will be turning 20 on the public level next year. If nothing else, more in vague statements, but statements nonetheless.

Gut tells me they'll continue what they've been doing since 2023 of dumps in Early August. They've been doing it since 2023, would make sense to do it next week as you could line it up before trailer comes out for The Black Phone 2 (as I imagine they'll have a trailer for it to be part of the Weapons film trailers).

With the opening gauntlet being heavily tied to The Black Phone 2 it seems, would make sense that you need to get it out to the public as fast as you can (Especially if another trailer rolls out).

I could only see if if there are some changes to it. Don't think it would look great if they announced a total repeat (Which I imagine it is).

Speculation Map 3.5 just dropped. Few interesting points:

-Poltergeist for the last house and Blumhouse Tram, as anticipted / proven by the construction
-For shows, Purge: Dangerous Waters is still on, and Dreamworks Theater show is still unknown
-For scare zones, the front one looks like clowns, monkeys, something like that? The LatAm scare zone still looks like the Mexican dancer. The zone in the lower lot has changed from Crowz to something that looks more like scarecrows - seems odd to do a repeat of the Scarecrows house, but we'll see. The other big takeaway is the suggestion that they will do away with the second upper lot zone (where Skull Lordz was last year), which tends to bleed into the entry zone.

Scarezones will unfortunately always be an afterthought at Hollywood since there’s no space to work with. Maybe someday they can turn the place plaza into a pseudo-scarezone and eatery section.

Edit: Meant to say plaza not place. Huge difference there

I'd be on-board with this idea. My biggest problem with last year's entrance zone was that Chainsaw Punkz should've taken up the entire upper lot entry zone with more props, maybe even a live band somewhere, and punk stilt walkers. The whole two-in-one scarezone idea for the upper lot that started in 2018 only worked well thematically a couple of times but I miss the full cohesion that the entry zone used to have. Now, if they do away with the New York area entirely and no longer allow actors to scare in that spot, I'd be pissed with this change but as it is, I'm happy with this change.

Failed to clarify because of my typo in the original post, but meant to say a pseudo-scarezone and eatery stand in the Universal Plaza. It’s already kind of that with the Dia de Los Muertos stuff, but it would be great to have more scarezone than food stand if that makes sense. It’s our only shot at having a “real” scarezone that Orlando has. They could even have a food stand and drink stand that’s themed to the scarezone.
