this is great and, with It's tough to be Bug going away in the future, I would never in a million years think they'd updated Muppets 3D

So they've sure taken their sweet time on this (and it's not done yet), but it's a Coke location. I'm thinking potentially like the one near MIB at USF? Basically a freestyle refill area?

My guess is they will be heading to the Walt Disney archives. The DHS version is the original definitive version of the attraction that Henson was directly involved on so it makes sense a lot of the props and other items will be prioritized to be preserved.

The Kermit figure from entrance of the DCA version has been spotted on the Henson Company lot in LA. I have a theory some of the DCA props like the Miss Piggy columns, Kermit figures (above the theater entrances and exits), and some of the preshow props were personally claimed by the Henson Company as a salvaged handoff from Disney since the DCA version is far less know by the general public and pop culture so Disney wouldn't put as much of a priority in archiving that.
