Well Toy Story 5 came....for me it was was my least favorite of the films and the first just ok film

I did not love Toy Story 4 but it still had some great moments and while its not up to the Toy Story name it has more of a reason to be a film vs Toy Story 5 which just repeats ideas from other films but just done worst and for me no really cool animation like the Cat from 4 or the Mud scene at the start.
Toy Story 5 also just wasn't as funny as other films and for me is on the very low end of Pixar for me but its making buckets of money so a sequel will come out in 6 or 7 years

I've seen it and thought it was fine. Out of the slap stick parody movies which have come out over the last year, I prefer Naked Gun.

To be fair that is not a high bar

I loved the first three scary movies the first one was so funny and just works to this day, 2 and 3 are hit or miss but still funny enough the new Scary Movie had just lazy....lazy jokes and outside the somewhat fun way the ending was filmed it was for me mostly as bad if not worst then the Scary Movie 4/5 and all those other crappy parody movies being made around the time

Obsession: Still a great movie on the second watch! You can really pick up on some very subtle decisions actors made after you know what to look for and know where the story goes. Very happy to see this movie getting its flowers.

Masters of the Universe: What a fun movie! Equal parts cheesy, campy, adventure, and action with a few adult jokes thrown in for the older crowd (that line about Adam's sword between his thighs  :nervous:). It felt like it ran a bit long but it was an enjoyable movie regardless. It's a shame the brand is just too outdated for modern audiences and there wasn't a large enough crowd interested in it. This feels like what the painfully bad Thor Love&Thunder years ago was trying to accomplish. Hopefully there's a smaller sequel or streaming show down the line but this one may end here due to it bombing.

Disclosure Day: Holy hell, this was painful to sit through. I refuse to ever walk out of a movie but damn if I wasn't really tempted to. One of my least favorite movies I've seen in theaters in many years. Script? More plot holes than swiss cheese. Magical object that lets anything happen when the script or any character needs it to? Stupid and lazy. Tone? All over the place. Score? Not bad if this was an ET, Goonies, or Indiana Jones type adventure movie or something more whimsical, but damn it didn't fit the more serious tone here. Action? Hardly any at all. When there was, it was mainly stupid chase sequences where the bad guys have the intelligence of a toddler. CGI? Super uneven, and all the animals looked bad. Character motivation? They all flip flop depending on what the script needs them to do. The only good parts of the movie were the last 20 minutes starting from the news report. That's where I wanted this movie to begin. Not the 2 hours of boring, repetitive lead up. This could have been fantastic since it had capable people behind all aspects of it, but each part did not come together well here.

Supergirl and Leviticus later in the week to hopefully wash away the Spielberg stink.

steven Spielberg had this movie in mind for 20 years,
and David koepp had to write 42 drafts of the script until Steven accepted it.....and this is what they came up with lol.
makes me wonder how the first scripts were like, and why didn't Spielberg made this 20 or 15 years ago. it's kinda weird.
there's no big twists or big surprises or anything

The biggest surprise was that so many people like it. I do wonder if more of these people who love the movie are in general more religious than others who didn't like it. I thought the religious commentary fell totally flat, wasn't fleshed out well enough, and clashed with the childish tone many parts of the movie had. But perhaps people who are deeply religious felt it made the movie seem more elevated.

As bad as Scary Movie was, it sits just above two other 2026 movies for me - Disclosure Day and Is God Is. Both are so tremendously flawed movies that try to come across far more competent and intellectually sound than they actually are.

The original Scary Movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. I’m the exact type of moron these movies are made for, and I was laughing the entire time basically with the newest one. The nostalgia baiting was heavy and I ate it up. No shame whatsoever. The rest of the theater on the other hand…. lol

This new one wasn't too welcoming to new fans. The under 20 crowd hasn't really had these type of spoof movies and this one required some homework by having watched Scary Movie 1-3 or 4 to fully understand most of the last part of the film. This one also joked at the expense of the younger crowd in the final act so I'm not really sure what they were thinking there. More likely to retain some of the same fans of the original few, but not pick up many new fans which is an odd choice.

I'm a fan of the first 3,I loved them.
I really love scary movie 3 the most. I was lucky enough to get tickets for a pre release screening of scary movie 3 with a full theater. it was amazing.

about scary movie 6, it has really funny, really great individual scenes, while also being a terrible movie. with a really poorly done plot.
a couple scenes were really hilarious, on their own, I really liked Tuesday.
but overall it's not a good story. not good parody, it was kind of annoying. the other new characters were annoying. some of the movies used for "parody" were wasted

Disclosure Day is probably the most overrated movie of 2026 so far. Any other less regarded director makes the exact same movie, and critics would've trashed it. Other than the Looney Tunes level stupidity of the secret agents that were chasing them,

="Why would the aliens go through the trouble of abducting 2 kids when they could've just... shown themselves to everybody from the beginning? Also the fact that this guy went through the trouble of stealing all the top secret footage to broadcast to the world, when the one guy had a LIVING BREATHING ALIEN with him the entire time?"

Supergirl was....not nearly as terrible as social media and some reviews would make you think, but still no good. Drab and dull without much color, but the worst offense it how damn derivative it is. Holy cow! Several scenes are completely ripped out from other movies, many from WB and many made by James Gunn himself. There's hardly a single unique or fresh element in this film. Some characters are annoying to the point that they become plot devices, but man, if other characters in your movie are getting annoyed at them, your audience will too.

Also, shame on the studio for putting their young female lead in the worst conditions throughout the movie. She is quite literally stumbling drunk, covered in dirt, getting poisoned (I lost count after the fourth time), puking, or pissing with ratty hair the entire movie. They are handing trolls their material to critique her physical appearance on a silver platter.

In the end I have no idea who this is made for. There's the lack of physical appeal for young men, not being a good role model for young girls, not being a cheery character you'd ever want to spend time with, and there's so many changes to the character or her motivations that she's unrecognizable from most of her comic/animation appearances.

Agreed, its not the worst film but also its the second DCU film.....its just confusing like you said who this is for

The funny thing is its based on a comic most people love but then they just made it a worst version and since the film is so uncolorful it won't be remembered for much

I think its pretty much dead, most people will be seeing Toy Story and minions and unless Spiderman sucks....it will be just a forgotten movie from this year

this is interesting to read because some reviews like the Mary Sue website were saying that this was a very good thing ( I saw a few other tweets that were saying that this depiction of Supergirl was very good to have)
I was curious about that

Oh my. That site is the definition of the very vocal minority. I just glanced over that review and this stood out: "Her hair is always a little messed up and it is glorious. It is important for girls to see themselves in their heroes.". Huh? This movie has her as a drunk, dirty, crass, grumpy, unlikable person. She's always hungover, pisses with the bathroom door open, calls people bi*** and wh***, shows she has horrible morals, etc. Nobody in their right mind would want their young daughter to look up to this version of Supergirl :nervous: May be a slight spoiler but the movie literally ends with her
taking the underage sidekick to go bar hopping off planet without telling her family!
. That's a role model? This movie has zero audience. We'll have to see how catastrophic the global haul is but it won't be good.
