I have tickets for Joy Ride, Barbie, and Oppenheimer. Just booked the Joy Ride tix after redeeming my Indy ticket since that freed up a spot on my A-List.

I'm in LA and most Imax's are basically sold out for Oppenhimer already

So waiting to see if I can maybe see it in Dolby or wait a week and see it in Imax

Decided to give a chance on The Idol!

It's a cringe fest that has some deplorable and asinine decisions by the result of what seems to be reshoots, but excluding that...it's actually not bad? Not great in the slightest, infact it's offensive in a lot of ways. But Lily Rose-Depp, the supporting cast (sans Abel), and the sound and music design done is phenomenal work. There are people involved here that give it a lot better of a chance than I imagined it to be.

Just watched Nimona. Not AtSV quality (I mean, very very few things are) but I really enjoyed it! Special points for the soundtrack.

Finished The Idol!

While it is one of the most cringeful and asinine writing examples in the first half of the show, with how over sexualized it is: the story of Jocelyn and Tediros, and the “family” they are part of is fantastic. A lot of the writing when it remembers to be a competent show is actually rather good, and Lily Rose-Depp is understandably a genuine diamond here with how she depicts the rebuilding Jocelyn.

As for Abel, when he is not a cringy middle schooler, he also does remarkably well too. It’s a lot more emphasized on his facial expressions and the more subtle dialogue when he gets to properly act.

It is a mess and I wish things were handled better, but I am walking away liking the show much more than I thought I would’ve

That's why I vastly prefer his acting in his music videos and especially the After Hours short film. He didn't say a single word in that short, yet you could 100% make out his thoughts.

Id argue Episode 3 has his best use of actual writing dialogue in how he maneuvers and guides his words in a later scene in the episode, but episode 5 is without a doubt his best for the sake of facial expressions.

You can tell so much of what Tediros processes in it, as the cogs in his head move accordingly

I'd like to see him in a show that he has no creative say in and that Sam Levinson has no part in. I feel like adding both of those together was the worst possible concoction. I just want to see what he can do as an actor with normal acting material, not this soft-core porn crap with cringeworthy writing.

So There's this new Jim Caviezel movie coming out today ( it's like TAKEN) and I kept seeing ads for " free tickets" and I got some free tickets for later. Campaign worked lol, I got curious. Kinda interesting. I didn't know anything about it until the Instagram ads everywhere so I'll see how it goes. People on the comment said it's good

There's still a bunch of free tickets left. They wanna give away 2 million tickets for this week. Any theater in Orlando including universal

That’s the child-trafficking movie about adrenochrome right? I remember Jim being extremely Q-pilled So very curious to see how this turned out lol

I haven't read much about it except the comments on Instagram. I got curious because of the free tickets lol. I was surprised on how many theaters In Orlando are carrying it. Specially for being from a small studio. I think almost every big theater here has it. The free ticket was available for all of them including the theater in Disney springs.
I've never heard of people paying for others to get a ticket so that was interesting. Interesting system

I'm not. Orlando is still Florida. The people behind the film have been doing the conservative and faith circuit promoting the film and despite Orlando's makeup, its still falls into the religious category.

There seems to be this gigantic storm of controversy and arguing over this movie all over the internet now but I didn't know all the controversy behind it lol. I just wanted to see a free movie
The only time I won a free movie was the premiere of scary movie 3, premiere underworld 2 and premiere of spiderman 3 . I vividly remember all 4 of those occasions.
This will be my 4th free movie in my life lol.
The reviews around seem to be very negative and there's a lot of political arguing on Twitter and such. Seems like arguing about this movie is like the same arguing over an election right now.
But as for the movie itself I didn't see anything related to politics. It was exactly like Taken plot wise. It was pretty well made as far as cinematography and sets and stuff. It felt like a regular movie. It had regular Hollywood actors and most of the movie is in south America. So it was nice to see it filmed over there. I don't even remember anything religious on it.

Most of the cast was Hispanic and a lot of the movie is in Spanish so as a Latino myself, this movie was like a Hispanic production as far as the cast and locations and stuff.
If anything, it didn't feel like a political or religious movie but it felt like a Hispanic production.

Wonder how big the American release will be. The guy who's directing it has a pretty good track record in both animation and live-action.

Was planning on doing MI7 in Dolby tomorrow + Joy Ride or Insidious: Red Door…. But my A-lost is screwed up.

On the app and website it shows that I have two reservations for tomorrow under the A-list section, but when I click to edit, nothing comes up under upcoming tickets because I canceled both of the showings I originally booked for tomorrow last week yet for some reason they are still sitting on my A-List clogging up spots. They’re customer service was of no help either since they essentially don’t have any Customer Service.

When I did A list pre Covid, the support services over the phone for AMC was a joke. I think that if you go to your theatre they’ll be much more helpful.

Also finally watched season 1 of The Morning Show on Apple. I am not sure if I love it or how I feel, but I can’t lie it’s captivating. Best performance of Jennifer Anniston’s career.
