Standing outside for stay and scream in the sun is hell, so offering some over the top AC is a good reward.

The tents are going to be more difficult to manage the temperature of than a soundstage because the tents are not insulated. The rumor was that the AC was getting work done, but that could have just been repaired. If the description doesn’t highlight a cold house, don’t expect a cold house.

I may be misremembering but I believe the permits were for adding AC to the tent not repairs.

Also idk the name, descriptions, and art seem to pretty clearly indicate cold house to me. The word “icy” is in one of the descriptions.

Yeti: Terrors of the Yukon was icy too, but wasn’t really a “cold” house.

I’m also not sure, but I would imagine the tents had AC last year simply for safety purposes. The sprungs have always had AC.

Color me pleasantly surprised, while there were some rumored hints that this house would be more varied than the Vikings Undead zone in 29...for some reason I was still thinking it was gonna' be a redux of that zone. So to have this confirmed as Nordic Monster-Forward is the absolute best-case scenario for me!

Now as for my anticipated rankings, what's the Nordic word for @$#! ? Because it looks like my ranking just got thrown out of whack in the best of ways! If this house looked more like a redux of Vikings Undead, I would've easily had this more in the middle or near the bottom. But since this house is sounding to be 100% the type of house I wanted for this theme with a whole lotta' monsters/creatures/beasts....it just skyrocketed right into several others vying for the top placement. I thought this year was gonna' be fairly simple figuring out my anticipated ranks, but I will happily take this dilemma!

Galkn: Monsters of the North brings folklore beasts and creatures to a Norse community, that will be ravaged and ripped apart. A Shaman beast is drawing all the creatures to the community. One of the bloodiest houses, very bloody, very visceral. The Shaman is collecting the creatures, making them part of her. She’s getting bigger and bigger as you go. At one point the prop for her head as the final Shaman beast is six feet tall. And as you go under this six foot head, you’re going into the belly of the beast.

Going off what I said in the Fallout thread, I'm not surprised. Just like the parade warehouses which they replaced, these tents are huge and any outdoor facade just gets overshadowed by the massive building looming behind them. You have to approach it as a parade warehouse/soundstage where you're hit with the good stuff once you step inside.

Going off what I said in the Fallout thread, I'm not surprised. Just like the parade warehouses which they replaced, these tents are huge and any outdoor facade just gets overshadowed by the massive building looming behind them. You have to approach it as a parade warehouse/soundstage where you're hit with the good stuff once you step inside.

The Goblin facade last year was quite effective and neither house featured a particularly impressive indoor facade - whether that’s a function of the space or just a design choice (the latter seems more likely) we’ll have to see.

Of course, the signage doesn’t preclude a smaller outdoor facade - Fallout in particular seems like it really needs a vault door.
