Everyone talking about Cartoon Network and not one mention of a Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion-style dark ride!

In all seriousness - I'm curious if the Spongebob land is genuinely a test for future additions in the Orlando/Hollywood parks. Spongebob is an evergreen property that really has yet to be tapped into the theme park realm.

Yeah I'm in my 30s and I was watching Spongebob when I was a kid. It's as close to a slam dunk as any property out there in my opinion

I want Scooby’s haunted carnival in Dark Universe.

Absolutely - obviously the show isn't as great/popular as it was, but it's iconic. The characters and locations are instantly recognizable and would honestly look beautiful if realized in a theme park environment.

I always looked at the Spongebob parade float and said "imagine a whole land that looked like that?"

Anyone know how Spongebob merch sells?

The only issue with Sponge Bob merchandise, and we shop at that USF store often for our grandkids, is the paucity of selections. It's a beautiful store layout, fairly large too, but there is very little merchandise choice. That always surprises me. I'd expect a myriad selection, but that's not the case. Mostly a lot of open space, and an insignificant handful of things to buy.

There's a decent amount, but I'm not sure they'd be able to get more than 1 store's worth of Spongebob stuff. Maybe they'd use the remaining space for some general Nickelodeon merchandise as well

This would be my preferred IP option for that spot.

the merch would be a lot more compelling if/when it’s designed specifically for Universal. most of the merch in there now is basically stuff you could find at target … but more expensive.

They could easily do so much more with spongebob merch. Tons of memes and classic episodes, iconic items and scenes at least in the early seasons.

They could literally put a cardboard box on sale and people would buy it.
