this is why I'm ambivalent towards if they use either or branding, the dinosaurs are the important part. it's also why i'm so confused why disney has gotten rid of all their dinos. people love em!

The stories of Dominion and Fallen Kingdom were... odd, but man, seeing dinosaurs on the big screen is awesome. I thought Chris Pratt and BDH were good in their roles and the new dinosaurs (Indominus and Indoraptor) were cool, but the movies aren't generational. I think JW1 is a lot better than the other two

Jw1 is the second best film in the franchise. Not just saying that because I was an extra. It's why Universal Hollywood felt comfortable making the switch. Fk and Dominion were let downs, but JW will be looked at nostalgically 20 years from now.

Kind of like how TLW and JP3 aren't loved by the GP but JP is. JW has the same track to look forward to.

I think that's as simple as "these are the latest high-quality renders we have that are easily available."

I really hope we get a couple of additional dinosaurs as part of this.

This has always been something I've wanted. Just drop a few more dinos throughout the ride path to make it feel more alive.

just thinking, we're going to have no Dinosaur themed rides in Orlando open since 1982 while this is being refurbished

Ok, I suppose technically Velocicoaster counts...sort of

Selfishly, I'd like them to drop the Blue animatronic from USH in the final stretch, even if it's mixing JP/JW. My 5 year old is a massive Blue fan, and when he first rides JPRA, he'll be so excited.

I don't think anyone has ever rode it. Perhaps it's just a Figment of our Imagination ;)

It is a good point that, with Dinosaur leaving Animal Kingdom, River Adventure will be the only remaining dino AA showcase attraction in Orlando when it re-opens.

So as I said, I hope Universal uses this opportunity to plus the ride in some way, because it's going to be the new and lone standard bearer for dinosaur attractions.

Made a similar post on the previous page about The Mummy, but man, a Jurassic Park: River Adventure or Dinosaur made with todays' animatronic technology would be unimaginably cool. If there was ever the IP to splurge on, it'd be JP. Especially right as the competition is leaving the dino game entirely.

I went on it once!

It's not bad, but the capacity is abysmal.

Fliers is decent fun! If taken just as an attraction in a vacuum, away from the capacity problems. The views are stunning and there's a total novelty to it, if only because of how rare the experience is.

It also has a quirk of feeling weirdly flimsy? haha. Like, the way the coaster swings, the roughness of a 20+ year old defunct coaster model, and the open nature of the seats makes it feel legitimately kinda scary if you think about it too much. :nervous: I know multiple sets of parents that got off that ride mortified from the experience, meanwhile the kid remained totally oblivious haha.

When we were at Hershey a 15 years or so ago, there was a ride through the water park section that looked very similar to PF.

The problem is the IOA "Jurassic" is now stuck thematically between "Park" and "World" and it feels disjointed. I sort of would like them to choose one and stick with it, but that's just me.

Agreed but I think keeping the two appeals to different generations of not only park fans but movie goers, parent knows Jurassic Park, the kid knows Jurassic World/Camp Cretaceous
They are basically the same but different in the eyes of the consumer. You get my point.
