Remember when Penn and Teller were at Horror Nights?

I do! I didn't go that year, but I've been following HHN religiously since 2008 (I was 5.) Just had a conversation with a coworker regarding that house about an hour ago, haha. Again, if they could do a house about two magicians in a nuclear wasteland, I think this zone will be, at the very least, well done.

I’m so happy for him to have gotten where he is and doing such a great job. I met him 14 years ago at Valencia. He showed me a model of a dream HHN house he had put together for a class project at the time. It was incredible and beautiful back then I was amazed. He actually comped me into go to my first ever HHN as he was a scareactor at the time.

Fear Factor: Episode 2

(I'm exaggerating)

I still remember Fear Factor. I still remember Night Maze. I can still describe every room in Penn & Teller. Can't say that about a lot of things from those same years. An impressive fail is still memorable. If this succeeds, all the better.

And either way, it's going to make bank off Chug Jugs and whatever else. Never a bad thing if you care about the event.

Yep.

I remember more from one run through Fear Factor than one from El Artista and multiple runs of Horrors in Wax and Castle Vampyr…

Sometimes, bad is better than mid.

I really hate how accurate this is ..... I have zero memories of some of the best hhn houses made in the past 15 years, but I vividly remember that bad Creatures house from 2008. oh God why lol why?
I remember everything from the Chance house

Maybe the Reflections of Fear house also has to do with Mary not appearing again…

I thought Castle Vampyr was positively received?

Random thought I had yesterday, is there any chance that due to the Scream Early (or whatever it's called) they may have some scarezones running?

I'm sure my son (and I'm sure a lot of others) would love to be able to walk through this especially if it was less intense and it could fit with the ongoing battle that the eluded to?

Possibly could go towards that idea from way back of them having a family friendly lite version and the typical HHN we know

I would be surprised if they are as the park will still be in full operation mode and you don't want to scare day guests who may not be interested or small children that are far too young for the event.

I’m honestly surprised they’re not. It feels like such a gimme. Unless they plan on putting a couple of characters out as M&G type things near the Battle Bus.

It may be as simple as not budgeting for additional casts/costumes though.

No, keep it to HHN. Food booths sure, but I can’t see how operating a zone in the middle of the normal operating day would help. You don’t want people skipping out on visiting the park entirely because they’re afraid their child might get spooked lol

I'm saying more friendly so tone down most of the horror and have it be more fun loving and dancing or whatever. I could easily see it being a way to nudge people to HHN or could even act as a bridge to us getting some of the stuff Hollywood gets like D&D OnePiece etc

but adding on to what Legacy said, more than anything it feels like an easy way to print money

is it too hot and sunny? some hhn costumes seem bulky or hot ( the masks for example)
I know parks have characters out like Scooby doo or blues brothers etc
but maybe hhn could do photo op meet and greets instead of a full zone ( and you only need a couple of actors for that. )

I would ask uni to maybe have a few characters out ( art the clown) for photos that early.
