Fortnitemares has been announced for HHN 2026! This is the first scarezone to be announced for the upcoming event.

Maybe showing my age here, but I know absolutely nothing about Fortnite. I'm glad it's a scare zone and not taking over the Tram though.

My honest reaction:

Eh....fine. I would rather have this than another generic scarezone. That being said, I really hope they don't make a house out of this next year.

I've been one of the more vocal defenders of Fortnitemares admittedly, as in theory it actually has a uniquely shaped simplicity that comes to it's very nature. I think considering the battle royale nature, this actually would've made for a killer Terror Tram theme--because you could've laid out the gauntlets to be specific areas from the game in tonal nature, and no-one would've batted an eye.

Innately curious to see if they handle it, how Fortnitemares tackles third party characters. Outside of the original characters, the bread and butter of Fortnitemares is rooted with the intellectual IP crossover that comes with it.

As another someone who knows next to nothing about Fortnite, beyond it being a battle royale, having building, and crossing over with every IP imaginable... I'm kind of hyped to see an IP scare zones, feels like zones in general have been a smaller part of the event every year and it'll be good to see one having some juice behind it.

And if it goes well enough to come back, the Battle Royale concept could make for a sweet stunt show in Water World next year!

The best time of the year to play Fortnight is normally the Halloween season

So I'm hoping we see an HHN tie in, inside the game.

It will be cool to see how they do this and also what people's reaction to is for this when they see it in person

Man, I can't believe this is the thing that's got me considering HHN this year now. I just don't know if I'd also tackle any houses and if it's worth paying to come for the scare zone and skip the rest. YouTube's gonna be my friend once again for gauging intensity of the houses.

For that matter I wouldn't mind if we got a Chainsaw Man repeat just to have another reason to justify coming again.

Hey at least it shows they're more open to gaming IP now

I think a house is a much tougher interpretation. Zone works fine.

I was gonna say FNAF and Fallout technically are, but then again their cinematic media was what got them in and what the houses were based on. So it is good that this could set the precedent for stuff squarely based on a game being at HHN.

Left 4 Dead or Half-Life at a future HHN anyone?

Can't wait to headshot someone, win the battle royale, and floss over my victims. Let's go.
