I always maintained horror is entirely subjective, what scares me may not scare you at all & vice versa. This years IP lineup does absolutely nothing for me so I’m most likely gonna be skipping, not gonna yuck anyones yum, instead I’ll just look forward to next year.

That’s what’s great about horror to me, everyone can find something if they want to.

Oh absolutely! Just had to throw that out there for the sake of the conversation, lol

The entire HHN fan base raved about Insidious, but it just didn't do it for me. Much like a lot of people may rave about FNAF, but it may not do it for others.

It was touched upon in the spec thread, but I think going into any house with the intention of disliking it is doing a disservice to oneself!

Just wanted to say I completely understand where you're coming from. We all have opinions, and my opinion leans way more towards yours than the rest here. I have a difficult time not eye-rolling every time I see posts about this. That being said, I can offer a piece of advice - maybe take it down a notch when expressing your opinion and remember that there are many kinds of horror (weak or not), and there are many different kinds of fans. It so happens this IP has a clear fan base, and I don't see a reason to come to a thread centered on this IP just to crap on it. Let them have their fun. If the house ends up seeming silly to you (or to me, for that matter), just skip it. Let the rest enjoy it. Also, no offense - you can obviously say what you want.. I'm not your mother, and you can tell me to piss off. I simply noticed you're new here, so thought I'd toss in a suggestion.

Well said hunnylvr.
Just glad I shared a counter point to others...
But I will respond in kind, if appropriate....
Appreciate you.

So if Stranger Things brought in the 14-16yr old demographic, I'm afraid FNAF will bring in the 11-13yr old crowd. My nephew is 9 and FNAF is his favorite game. Is this a legit worry?

Not really. Kids to teens have been attending HHN for years. Its nothing new. The event has & always will be "Not Recommended For Children Under The Age of 13", they're not going to go "soft" just because an IP might have originated for a kid/teen audience. The movie didn't (to an extent). So no, its not a worry.

FNAF is more of a horror franchise than Fallout. And the FNAF movie was more of a horror than the Fallout show.

Save your arguments for Thursday.

It's been mentioned before - and of course there are exceptions. But most of the kids that grew up with FNAF are in their 20s now.

It doesn't feel like it, but FNAF has existed for over a decade.

By the way, I wouldn’t expect further details on this house for a while. Likely July.

Here's an interesting tidbit.

In 2023, it took the Stranger Things 4 thread over a month to reach 5 pages.

FNAF did it in less than 2 days.

That could almost be a Pokemon game! :lmao: (Ghost type Pokemon have some of the most disturbing origin stories in the games; straight-up nightmare fuel if they ever showed those actions in the game!)
