Well, well, well, it's finally happening!
I'll be very upfront; this is the first Dream IP for me. I do enjoy the series, especially since the concept of Animatronics going amuck in a Chuck E Cheese type place is a very relatable and a killer theme. And considering both that and the sheer fact its creator is hard to work with, HHN getting this IP is massive. It's a long-running IP with a ton of games, books, several movies including the newest one out soon, with a bunch of merch opportunities as well. And ultimately, this is an IP a lot of folks have been waiting for since the concept is right at home with horror, this is no doubt one of the bigger gets for the event.
Now that said, even as a big fan, I acknowledge this IP will be challenging to pull off. Do you do big suits, do you do puppets, or a mix of both? Well obviously, A&D has a plan, I just hope it's done well!
Now as for where this'll land in my anticipation list, I already know it's firmly at #9. Long story short, I feel a lot of overhype is from fan's unrealistic expectations, and since this is a Dream IP of mine, I feel it's best putting it as low as possible to help avoid overhype. I would place it at #10 if I could, but I could not in good conscious place a Dream IP of mine under something I truly don't care for. (Amusingly, that's also a first for me with this event!)
