Figure it's worth saying just to have it acknowledged: FNAF will be focusing on the first film exclusively, it seems.

So that’s how they will make the house work with scares.

Dang, the stock just went down on this for me knowing that now lol I have no idea what the game entails, but I figured it had to include scarier stuff than what was presented in the movie. Simply put, the movie was soft in the horror department. The hits just keep coming this year on my end. Oh well, already bought my Express ticket.

That’s cool but I assume they have to do more

The movie only has a few scenes where it’s scary outside the dreams

Also I saw Terrifer is doing all three films plus new kill scenes so I hope this house doesn’t limit it self just cause because it sounds like they can do more then just reference the film in other houses

I’d have to assume this isn’t just adapting the one 10 minute kill montage + the intro night guard kill. That just isn’t enough material for a house. My guess is that they’ll use the movie setting and imagery and just have mostly original scares featuring the core animatronics, William/Yellow Rabbit and ghost kids

Well, it is technically a horror IP. More so than Fallout. It’s also insanely popular. Are you expecting Universal to ignore the MASSIVE popularity of the IP and be like “Nah let’s not do it. It’s not horror enough”?

Yay finally, it's officially a maze. Get ready for that pop out with dummies to be the ghost kids (as seen in Evil Dead Rise, Walking Dead). This might be a fun one, though there might be some Willy's Wonderland fans out there who are disappointed < insert sounds of crickets chirping>.

Tbh the original game was pretty slow paced and moreso about atmosphere and sound design than anything overtly scary, aside from the jumpscares obviously. Most of the actual core scary events and backstory are things you only ever really hear or read about rather than actually see or participate in, so if anything you could probably argue that the movie is more overtly scary even if it doesn't really compare whatsoever atmospherically lol.

Feels like a weird comparison to draw but if they can at least have some quieter drawn out moments in this house sorta like the earlier scenes in Quiet Place, it might genuinely retain some of the game's tone, but if you step in and it's just a wall of music and sound clips from the movie I think that would be pretty disappointing.
