This really SHOULD become Hill Valley. This rumor seems too strong to not be true. What the ride is idk, but the area could transit easily to HV. Please please pleaseeeee Universal do this.

Reminder that ITM links are not permitted, as they are garbage, and it appears that AI was used to write that article.

Can someone throw together a pitch on how a BTTF ride would work with the current ride profile ? Like you board the time train and go through several time periods ? Just not feeling it

and....such well deserved, and well earned takedowns for Supercharged, or was it Super Chicken. Oh. Guess that was on George of the Jungle.
Supercharged couldn't compete with Super Chicken's quality or entertainment value. But the Family sure knows how to excel at sloppy acting.
Got to give them that. No one ever did it better (worse). ;)

Len Testa floated the BTTF reskin of Supercharged, and he is widely deemed to be one of the most esteemed insiders. Hopefully this holds water. Probably would want to have this up before Simpsons goes down.

DAE not want to see a retheme of the Supercharged system?! Like its so bland and boring, and to waste an awesome IP with a lame ride system retheme would be a step backwards. Such a huge building and to waste it with keeping the same system and using a classic IP would be so stupid IMHO

This was my pitch from when the scuttlebutt first scuttled.

Facade is rethemed to the clock tower, celebrating Hill Valley’s “Founder’s Day.” The queue is themed to a Hill Valley museum.

The preshow room becomes a “Celebration of Hill Valley’s History and Future.” Instead of Luda… it features a special message from Hill Valley mayor Goldie Wilson. But… there’s a glitch. For a moment, Goldie looks like… Biff?

Anyway… we soon board a tour bus to take a proper tour of Hill Valley. We take a brief stop at the musion scene to see Mayor Wilson give some opening comments about the celebration, but that is suddenly interrupted by the Deloreon appearing… with Biff! Suddenly, Doc Brown appears from the crowds and needing to chase and stop Biff, commandeers the only vehicle available… our BUS!

Time-hijinks ensue.

You want a retheme in a year? There you go.

Yeah I’m with you. I’d rather they completely rebuild over a couple years and truly make it great. Repurposing this feels like it will get a modest uptick in attendee sentiment at best, but with its current setup I just struggle to see how anyone leaves feeling fulfilled. Especially when the IP is as memorable strong and BttF.

I have a concept of BTTF taking over San Fran and creating the "World's First Theme Park Land to Time Travel"

While I prefer a new BTTF build, I think the existing ride system could work with physical additions to the 360 room and a more impressive musion scene.

I think San Francisco would benefit from a rather easy transformation to Hill Valley.

I have no issues if Universal would use the same ride system. It actually works well for Kong, which is one of my favorite Universal attractions.
The problem with F&F Supercharged is that 1)The story and ride vehicle doesn't work for the F&F IP and 2) The 360 film is poorly done.
It's amateurish and looks more like it was put together by a college film making introductory class. The F&F 360 film should never have been accepted
and paid for. 3)Even the long queue is a problem. Due to the IP, it's like waiting in a dirty old auto repair shop while your car is getting repaired.
That's never a good moment. The queue is realistic, but it's a bad memory and bad vibes experience.
'IF' Universal would do BTTF with this ride system, and a quick turn around, I'd be fine with @Legacy and @UniversalRBLX versions 'IF' Universal
could produce a 360 film comparable to the very good Reign of Kong 360 film. I also think Ghostbusters could work there.

I REALLY hope they don’t reuse this ride system or building in any shape or form and just start from scratch. An indoor bttf roller coaster would be neat.

I agree that the ride system needs to go. It just isn't working anymore and it feels any of the potential IPs rumored for this replacement are just being forced to work within the existing ride system that's there instead of being a natural fit that actually makes sense.

Personally, while I love roller coasters, with the F&F: New York drift coaster being the rumor and most likely replacement for Rip Ride, I don't want to see another coaster so soon.

I think dark rides are special in their own way and are necessary for the parks. I'd love to see a BTTF ride take over what's currently in Supercharged but gut the whole ride system and (ideally) put in a ride system akin to Test Track/Radiator Springs or I'd even take something like Mario Kart. In either of these two ride systems, the ride vehicle should obviously be individual DeLoreans.

Nice idea, but the space is not available for a Test Track/RS type ride system. Back in the day before this was built, there was a lot of talk on these forums about TT system for F&F, but the space issue always doomed it.

I think any ride based on BTTF needs to be screen based. You'd get the sense of speed on a test track style ride, but I think it would be hard to convey traveling to different time periods and have it be convincing. This is why the original BTTF ride worked so well.

Agree - F&F themed ride on a party bus that goes 5 mph is not what anyone envisions.

Don't get me wrong, I would prefer a complete rebuild... but is that practical? If Simpsons ends up being completely removed for whatever IP, they'll need something at this side of the park.

The issue with a ride system like Test Track (ignoring Disney's patents for a second) is that the ride building is not big enough to hold a decent sized attraction.

Agree - Unless it's just a pure coaster for speed, any sort of dark ride experience involving the IP will need to include screen segments to make any form of transition between time periods work.

I think the way we have to see this retheme is from a practical perspective - Universal will be required (either because of the agreement or the ride system's deteriorating state) to remove Simpsons.

Assuming they Keep Simpsons until the assumed expiration date of 2028, that puts a replacement somewhere in the 2030-31 window and with Rockit replacement expected in 2027, that leaves a 3-4 year gap between additions that USF desperately needs.

I think BTTF will be a perfect IP to use the FF ride system as a stop gap between Rockit and Simpsons replacement.

And even if the ride ends up "just ok", I think transforming San Fran into Hill Valley will be a great improvement.

There’s so much potential and many different ride systems that could make for an amazing BTTF ride. Time to revive the 8 passenger Delorean!

Thanks! And I do know this, this is just more of my Blue Sky wishes/hopes/dreams not necessarily grounded in reality lol. But I do think there would be space to do something like Mario Kart. So...a compromise?

Also, fully agree. Which is why I was also thinking of Mario Kart as inspo. You could have practical set pieces and also utilize screens coupled with VR and it would work really well here.

Definitely enough for a MK type attraction. That's a very large plot.
