A generic reskin to twisters would be so dumb.

We assumed the issue was the ride itself.

It turns out the real problem was having two F&F attractions in the park at the same time.

And the ride itself.

Twisters ride would be awesome. Pay homage to the original ride lineup plus anything is better than what's there now.

Twister Ride it Out wasn't part of the original ride line-up, that area used to be Ghostbusters Spooktacular.

No matter what went here next I’ve always believed any rumor that keeps the 360 screens intact. No way they trash them without even getting 10 years life from them.

I just want to see some practical effects in front of the screens. At least the glorious return of the flying cow.

Which is fine, but there are way better IPs to use than Twisters.

I'll admit I'm stunned by this development and will eat crow in suggesting it wouldn't happen for a litany of reasons (assuming, of course, this pans out).

I don't really see this being much of a draw, but anything's better than what's there.

It would do exactly nothing to help (what I perceive to be) the park's deficiencies.

BACK TO THE FUTURE would at least bring a beloved IP back into the fold. A basic TWISTERS overlay (or any other overlay besides BTTF) would be a poke in the eye of anyone hoping for something of some level of ambition beyond screen walls to come to USF.

With nothing on the foreseeable docket for Springfield, there's little light at the end of the tunnel if they go this way.

Twister seems like a property that could work OK using the present building and ride system. If Universal wants to bring something online fairly quickly to help USF, this has the potential for a fairly fast turnaround, if that's what they want. Throw some heavy wind, and shaking of the bus, and a practical effects room before the 360 screen, and its reasonable they can create a realistic effect, even better than standing and watching the former Twister attraction. Of course, they'd need a credible 360 film, not the amateurish one they had for Supercharged. Like @Clive said, I doubt it would be a big draw, but it surely could draw better than the laughable Supercharged.

Universal seems budget aversive when it comes to USF. A lightly themed outdoor coaster and a retrofitted Supercharged are not the stuff that elevates a theme park much. USF just gets the lower budget stuff since the halcyon days of Diagon opening, it seems. So much for competing with WDW. USF , the poor man of Orlando ;) ;)

If this happens, I’m still convinced this will be for 2028 on both coasts.

Theres no reason to rush to for next year when there will already be a major coaster opening at this park. USH’s doesn’t seem to have made any visible progress on theirs so I feel like they will wait until DCA’s Avengers ride opens for theirs.

Long ago, Kennywood had a dark ride (kind of on the order of the Disneyland dark rides) called Tornado. If Universal does indeed do Twister in that F&F space, it'll probably just be a 'supercharged' version of that inexpensive dark ride. At least that's the way I envision it. Heh, it's actually a back to the future, in a weird way. ....I don't think there will be much enthusiasm from fandom, but what the heh, we kind of knew they were going to reuse the building and ride system since it's pretty new.

If any of you remember the lead up to Supercharged. Once fans found out the ride was not going to be fast or furious, enthusiasm disappeared. I don't think a Twister attraction will generate much enthusiasm either .....That spot in the park....and I'm going to call it now, I'm proclaiming the 'KidsZone/Land Curse' never really died. It just moved to the other side of the USF lagoon to SF. ;) :lmao:

I am not fond of any idea that doesn’t include raising a good chunk of studios to the ground. With attendance issues, that park needs DCA-style overhaul to give it back some life outside of HHN and Diagon.

Hollywood Drift is a great first step in the right direction, but it only address one piece of the puzzle.
