I understand the sentiment and genuinely appreciate seeing some passion for what (little) this ride did right - but the war is lost, and has been for a very, very, very long time. The fans and GP have spoken, and that coaster is going to fit everyone's expectations of a proper F&F E-Ticket immeasurably more than Supercharged ever did.

I mean… it will be popular because it’s a coaster. As for fitting the IP, it makes me wonder if people actually watch the dumb films!

If the tram is becoming BttF, the ride format very arguably fits that IP less.

I was determined never to go on this ride from its opening to its closure but finally cracked last month. Purely for the sake of being part of the discourse — but honestly going in with expectations absolutely below rock bottom, it wasn’t terrible. Glad to have done it once.

Not to be the dippin’ dots guy, but when I was in full tourist mode buying my bright yellow Jaws cap, the TM serving me mentioned how fast the new Jaws merch is flying off the shelves. He also mentioned the vague rumblings that it might be returning in ride form — and while I’m normally the last person to take any notice of that kind of thing, I can’t help but wonder about the Supercharged plot. Fingers crossed.

I don't disagree about the tram becoming BttF being a bad fit if that rumor ends up being true. I think BttF should only ever be in a Delorean and should also have some level of thrill to it...I've just heard that being a rumor...doesn't mean I agree with it. I personally think unless they want to make that space an indoor tram tour through a multitude of movie sets/scenes, then they should gut the whole ride system and put in a ride system that would actually be a proper fit to whatever IP they go with instead of continually trying to force fit an IP around that tram ride...

Right. I personally think the emergence of the retro ride merch the last few years have been partially (and probably mostly) because Universal knows the nostalgia merch sells but also I believe to test/gauge how popular the retro ride merch has been with guests to determine whether/how to bring them back into rides/shows/experiences. We saw it with the Classic Monsters merch --> HHN houses---> full land at Epic and the retro rides have similarly gone from retro ride merch ---> tribute stores, experiences (i.e all the Jaws experience stuff from this year and last year), and the inclusion of those IPs in the parade ---> wouldn't be surprised to see them return in a larger, more permanent attraction capacity if it follows this same pattern...

Also, sorry didn't mean to double post, mods.

I guess I'm most excited for all the real estate that'll be available once Fast and Furious vacates the building. That show building and queue are MASSIVE.

Is there any word they actually would be tearing the building down?

There hasn't been any word one way or the other, but I cannot imagine any scenario where they do. The show building is already large enough that it could fit a wide variety of potential attraction types. They could put a dark ride in there if they really wanted to.
