Just talked to the greeters at the ride entrance. They said it's closed for the moment, not the day.

Holy crap this section of the line with the switchbacks and tarps is so hot. This is ridiculous and needs to get fixed yesterday.

EDIT: Oh thank god they turned the misters on. No clue why they were off.

How late have they been keeping the line open? Thinking of going after work to try to get in line

Why do they have lockers for this? Why not just put pouches in front of the seat like Disney does?

In addition so that no loose articles fall out at all, it's also to stop bad actors. Considering how stupid the GP can be (like that guy who ate Chicken Nuggets on Millennium Force at Cedar Point), there are people that could use them to hold their stuff inside the ride vehicle, only to throw objects from the vehicle, which would not be good for anyone.

Former ride op here. People will not notice them or ignore them.

This is going to sound petty but: The constant comparisons of the two versions of this ride is going to become so grating.

My understanding is that there are two things happening:

1) This coaster goes over guest pathways in a way that very few Disney coasters (like Incredicoaster) do.

2) Universal's risk tolerance is much, much lower than Disney's when it comes to things like loose articles, restraint systems, etc.

Ill throw in my two cents:

The hillside is a major advantage for USH. The way they do things like with the viewing area where the cars zoom by is unique and not a common design element for coasters that I'm aware of. Plus just being poached on a hill automatically elevates a coasters thrill level in so many ways like the force the rider feels. USH likely has the more interesting queue props while USF's are likely just moved over from Supercharged (could be wrong though)

But for USF the 170 spike is going to be pretty dope and there's no other way to slice that plus the sliver and blue color scheme is far more appealing to the eye.

Arrived at the park today at 645 and was able to get on before they cut it off for the night. From the time we lined up in front French Street Bistro to actually riding, using Express, we waited 30 minutes. Such an awesome ride!! We wanted to ride again after getting off, but they had already cut the line off for new riders. Can't wait to get on it again!

Adding to what everyone else has said, this coaster is more intense than your usual Disney coaster, and you never see pouches on the trains of intense coasters like these anywhere. They always have lockers, bins in stations and so forth. This is the norm for an intense coaster.
