Right, but it seems like you were assuming/leaning toward assuming that the neighbors are complaining just to complain, and that Universal was likely holding up their end of the bargain.

I think Universal's official comment to this story was telling. They didn't deny that there was an issue. They also didn't say the coaster was going to open this summer.

I am not explaining my own thoughts well enough. I am just saying we don't know either way. But that there is also a tendency for people to complain, regardless, as the change can still be too much for them, even if the volume isn't actually an issue when it comes to the numbers themselves.

Everything right now is a grain of salt, but this Coaster will open... one day.

I have what is probably a dumb question. The interviewees kept mentioning all the screams that they were hearing. If the ride isn't open, how much screaming is actually occurring? I know that they have had some human riders onboard but I cannot think that there is that much screaming occurring.

I'm assuming they're referencing the team member preview. I don't believe the ride has been regularly testing (if running at all) since then.

Well also from the Video I posted just two things to point out

The first person they interview is a Realtor, so there is for sure also what many consider a bias because he wants these homes to be as sellable and valuable as possible

Second is one of the guys saying they heard screaming until 2 AM, the park hasn't closed that late since lets even say fan fest when the ride was not open....

This last one for me is just a personal pet peeve the woman saying she works from home and its so loud, maybe but also my god the blessing to be able to afford that home and work from home. Like I live in an apartment and drive 40+ mins to work, I think I'd trade her any day but thats just a me thing

Like I said before I will go and check out the area after the coaster opens because I'm interested but most comments on the video don't show these people too much compassion for the situation

This is such a crummy sentiment.

Meanwhile Knotts and SFMM, being surrounded by residential, have no problem operating their louder rides late into the night.

I guess but as someone who has worked from home its a dream, you wake up and get to work. No traffic or co workers

I pointed out how to for cheap they can sound proof the room or house

Just for me its hard when people are literally unable to pay bills and going into medical debt, along with gas prices right now. I just don't imagine these people's sound problems are on the top 1,000 things wrong in the state let alone USA. They own million dollar homes next to a golf course

People live next to airports and trains, I live in an apartment sounds are apart of life.

Yeah, guys, I know we all want to ride our shiny new rollercoaster, and I tend to be skeptical of the NIMBY crowd, at best, but this is getting a little personal/targeted in a way that's probably over the line. I'd also be upset if a giant corporation assured me for years that the concerning rollercoaster they were building wouldn't substantially affect the sound ordinances they committed to. This isn't all that different from the data center controversies occurring all over the country.

What is the financial power of the residents living in those areas would be my question, compared to those surrounding USH?

We all know people with money have influence. Perhaps residents near Knotts or SFMM do complain, and the media isn't picking up their story.

The thing is for Knott’s the park has been longer than any of those people who live around it. They basically chose to live right next to a theme park with screaming guests and thrill rides.

You can make the same argument for Universal, and there always has been noise. Like I mentioned earlier, you could hear the frog choir audio from Harry Potter and the escalator music when I took a stroll right by the golf course in Toluca Lake a while ago. It is however, another matter when a big coaster moves in next to you.

Likely the park will keep an eye on the complaints, and will appease the neighbors as much as they can. From what I could see in the video, the first drop and the stall are definitely sore spots for traveling screams.
