So August opening at the earliest. Yup that sounds about right.

Technically it’s still summer but that sucks they’re essentially going to miss their summer window when they wanted this open.

This project just seemed Cursed, I forgot the project got delayed 5 months at the start

We all Assume by Mega Movie summer they wanted this open at the latest, and because of the construction people thought by Fan Fest it could be up

So add on 2-4 months on top of the 5 Months, this coaster is 7-9 months behind what USH wanted. This means almost a year of lost revenue from getting more people buying tickets, APs, expresses passes and even more people coming to Fan Fest and so on

At this point, I think Universal really needs to just be (somewhat, obviously) honest and open about this. Enough with the “This summer!” stuff, and just flat out officially move the goalposts. People would be more understanding if Universal said, “The ride won’t be meeting our previously expected summer window. To ensure the ride is perfect, we’ll be announcing an official date when we feel confident the ride can meet it” rather than continue to just leaving people guessing, holding off trips in hope, people wasting hours every day standing and waiting for it to soft, etc.

I havent been to this park since 2018 and I live 10 min up the street (well I did sneak in from the backlot 2 years ago on a lunch break to ride Mummy but other than that lol). Been waiting for this coaster to get a pass again lol. Just sitting here waiting to give them hundreds of dollars.

I find the spoiler piece flying off the coaster hard to believe. With how many people have been filming the testing I think there's a high chance that someone would have noticed by now if it did happen.

Nevertheless, I am kinda split on just visiting the MMS festivities on a leisurely day, cause I feel like the moment I do, softs start within a week of my visit, assuming those rumors aren't true.

even potentially a rebuild to ensure that no more pieces of the trains fly off into guest and non guest areas.

If they really did have to rebuild things, I think it could open after HHN starts then

Also I agree with highdefrex, but and hope USH gives us more information but they just seem to hate giving out information so even if they do make an announcement might not be for a few weeks

Awwww .. Intamin, you had such a good run since the Xcelerator/Top Thrill incidents. Now with this and Georgia Gold Rusher, are we back to train issues again? I certainly hope not ...

I would take some of these rumors with a large grain of salt. Not saying they're wrong, but delays like this tend to breed a lot of speculation that can spin out very fast.

Oh for sure. But one thing we can say for sure, another INTAMIN isn't opening during the most crucial time of the summer, and just 2 weeks ago, things were quite different.

Only thing we were told at work was that there is an inspection the ride did not pass. I hope it's something minor...

I mean if the coaster IS coming soon then put a date out, if their are issues then make a statement that the coaster is coming later

Either way at this point make a statement and the rumors would stop but I feel like USH wants people to keep talking about the coaster to keep the hype up and also because they want people coming in the summer if they know its coming after Mega Movie summer I would not be surprised if they aren't saying anything because they think it could slow the season down

I live here so I will get on this coaster but do feel bad for those who made trips this summer and the coaster is not open and still don't have a date

Come on, man, there would absolutely continue to be rumors if they put out a statement saying the opening was delayed.

At this point they aren't talking about it because it would create a bigger/louder wave of bad PR than the muted one they're currently experiencing from those paying attention.

Sure. But them dealing with rumors from frustrated theme park fans is better than having to deal with a real media cycle, which would happen if they were forced to officially delay out of summer.
