I realize we've kept forgetting about one small thing: where are the on-ride photo cameras for this thing? Obviously it seems like they will be a thing since once the walls came down, a booth for them is indeed visible. But in all these times we've seen testing, I don't think we've even seen any flashing to indicate them going off (assuming they need flashes) nor have they seem to have been spotted to my knowledge.

With TM previews soon and softs possibly not being far behind (I vividly remember taking home an on ride photo when JW opened for softs, too. Granted that ride already had them built in), I feel like they'd want to be testing those too, unless they already have at some point and they just have them disabled right now.

In the night I’ve seen a flash when the train enters the dive loop

This coaster is insane. I love the heartline roll right at the end. Very Velocicoaster.

Sometime after Monday after employee preview. But I’m trying to think like them, how do you announce the date and when would it be?

Forgive me of the double post but I wanted to add what I heard from a couple of people that seem to have the same sentiment:

-It’s a really good ride.
-The people who rode it agree that it’s probably the best roller coaster in California.
-They’re not sure if they enjoy it more than VelociCoaster as it’s “really close”.
-The same sensation you get on the bottom of the hill of X2 and the backwards portion of Everest is present on the ride.

Can’t wait to finally ride this! It’s been a long journey!

My brain interpreted "bottom of the hill on X2" as that car crash moment on the last dive loop and I got scared for a second lol

Kinda feels refreshing to be able to see some already good word of mouth on something Universal park related after the sugar honey iced tea-show that's been the UKR discourse...even on this very forum from my one go at observing it. I know one's a new ride at a flagship park and the other's a regional park with much to be desired, but I've gotten enough of a taste to know that people (mainly on twitter) have gone ballistic over the latter and I wonder if they'll just gloss over this ride since it doesn't favor their agenda.

Not that we really need to reignite this debate in the Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift thread, but as you said, they're apples and oranges.

Not saying all of the discourse has been productive (from either side), but the executed level of quality versus the intended scope/promise of the project are what tend to shape those reactions.

Got to ride in every car today. For those wondering, car 2 gives the most intense ride, and awesome ejector air.

Intamin simply doesn’t miss. Although I do like Velocicoaster better, and still consider Ghostrider the best coaster in the state, this is a welcome addition, and a coaster the park REALLY needed!

After looking up ejector airtime, that means there are at least seatbelts, right? I'm sure it's a given but that sounds fun yet also a little scary to hear if the only thing keeping you seated is a lap bar.

No seatbelt, it’s the most free feeling restraints I’ve been in.

Also, PRAY FOR A ROLLBACK. I got one on my first ride, rolling back into the stall was otherworldly!
