I complain about Orlando getting "better" versions of nearly everything we do and I do wish the two parks weren't so homogeneous with their IP usage but my complaints are most certainly a first world problem. Sure, Orlando got a way better Super Nintendo World and maybe they'll get a way better Hollywood Drift but every once in a while I have to take a step back and try to appreciate the fact that I even have a Super Nintendo World or Hollywood Drift in my backyard without the need to fly out to Japan or Orlando just to experience these things, even if they end up being the lesser of the two.

Getting new stuff like this in Hollywood with our limited space is a miracle on its own. I don't even like F&F (have never seen a movie) but I appreciate a quality attraction if we get one. -and I do like that some of our scream shields borrow from the Starway aesthetic. I'm sure the views of the valley will be killer, especially at night. If we can ever get them to stay open late!

Good post that I agree with. I adore all things Universal and I think it's fair to say that Orlando is the overall better experience, but it's for reasons that Hollywood can't really control so it feels pointless to compare. I think it all exists in harmony, I appreciate all the parks for their unique aspects. Plus, in chatting online with theme parks folks for years now, there are some things that Hollywood has that the Orlando park people wish they had, like Water World and the Studio Tour and SLOP and the Jurassic World version of the boat ride, stuff like that. All the parks have at least one unique thing that makes them cool.

It could be worse. At least the park in our back yard isn’t Universal Studios Singapore.

I also think it's going to look pretty awesome up on the hill from many areas of the park. I doubt it'll be as scenic as something like Tatsu, but the topography definitely makes this visually interesting even if it's not beautiful.

The best way to appreciate the scale of the ride is definitely going to be from the queue

Its going to be fun and very smooth but its a minute at max

But I'd take Big thunder or incredicoaster over this any day those are solid and long coasters

Also I feel like people like just hate on Six Flags....like cool if you don't like all the coasters but X2, twisted colossus, Tatsu are these not considered some of the best coasters in the world?

Also maybe it was just the people I knew/friends but most liked the Mummy when it came out but were disappointed by how long the wait was vs how long the coaster was. So I think many will like this coaster and we will have to see how it pans out with reviews. I'm very open to having a blast on it but I know at least for me it will be one and done for now, I have no want to wait in any line 2 hours

I understand Big Thunder Mountain, but Incredicoaster? Really? That ride kinda doesn’t do much and also isn’t themed well in comparison. But hey, to each their own

Well, you can't win 'em all lol

The ugly sound wall is unfortunately necessary. The small price we have to pay to enjoy a world-class roller coaster at our local park. I think they did the very best they could under the circumstances.

I mean, the sound wall with tree prints has been pretty apparent for a while, right? I assumed they went with the "forest" look because they were required to (so that the hillside "blends" to a certain extent), not because they thought it was the right aesthetic choice. Not sure it's accomplishing what the neighbors probably hoped for, but...

Exactly right. The goal was to “blend in” from a distance and not stick out like an eye sore, even if up close it looks a bit cheap and messy.

It actually looks better the further away from it you are lol.
