Adding to this--from who I've talked too who were onsite, it seems it's actually four train testing, with two trains out on the track at specific segments of time. Fantastic showing from USH today for the testing of the attraction.

Maybe...but I doubt it

This must be a CA thing, like look at the other coaster that is trying to be built on a hill at Six Flags....its been almost two years of them moving dirt and the track is there but they can't put it up

I mean, lets me real this thing must be having some issues because there is no way they would not have this for July 4th and the AP event if they were in control or it was all good. Just makes no sense heck doesn't make sense not to have it up before fan fest so something seems to be up

USF has two things working in its favor: They now would have additional R&D from USH to avoid certain technical hiccups, and being built on a flatter terrain should help as well.

Don’t understand why they feel less confident? Test runs seem to be going well? Are they still having trouble with the drifting??

Thats a rumor I'm hearing but at this point its all speculation. I'm sure someone here knows but it would risk there job, sources job or just get them kicked off the media list...so we won't know I assume until much later

This is why I edited my post

Cool if it does open in June but its also Mid May, thats 4-5 weeks away and no TM preview announced or AP previews or date. So if they can get it open in June great but would be more confident if we had a date

Throwing this out there, last time there was riders the post specified that it was technical team but this time it only says “riders who will react vocally”
I’m probably reading into this too much

I could’ve sworn it did? Is this the Mandela effect happening here?

From March

This is a case of the quest for being first is more important than the quest for being accurate.

Glad that's sorted out, got really nervous after the good news of a potential June soft opening

I think the issues of the drift were overblown imo, the ride has 3 trains now and as far as I could tell they all had proper drifting. Might have been an issue before but

EDIT: just saw a video of 4 train testing with drifting now fully up, but my opinion still stands. I doubt Universal would go all in on drifting cars that cant reliably work, and then go all in for Orlando as well. We don't know the inner workings of testing, they could turn it off for a whole bunch of reasons

They cannot disable the drifting element, it is necessary to meet the noise requirements for the ride. The drifting isn't going anywhere in Hollywood or Orlando, that idea is merely based on assumptions that are being made.

I didn't say they would turn it off during operation I said they may have turned it off for testing
