I never bought the reason for the spinning was the noise requirements. The spinning testing videos show the cars NOT pointing in any direction that would reduce noise. There are parts of the ride where the cars are facing the studio and above the sound wall.
I also remember people on here being adamant testing would not start until the shields/walls were done, yet testing began before completion. Then, it was real rider testing would not begin until the walls/shields were complete and yet, people were riding it this week.
Point is things happen and the forum speculation is just that. Of course the spinning is a huge part of this ride but it COULD open without it AND operate on a normal day when the spinning is broken that day.
“Objectif Mars” is also an Intamin coaster spinner, turned off the car spinning from 2023-2025 due to a battery fire on one of the trains. Ride still operated without it.
